Guys, i wanted to ask this before but then i took few weeks to understand this myself.

Seee that day shopaholic gave the A listor actors, being fawad, humanyun, fahad and faisal qureshi.

I know nothing about fahad and FQ, but reading all your discussions i realised that Faisal qureshi is some big actor who i know nothing about.

During ishq hai discussions, you people use to discuss fitoor, mujhe tab pta chala ki usmein FQ hai and its so hyped because of him. Honestly maine ek teaser ke alawa show ka kuch nai dekha, i know wahaj ali through maya, i have been following maya since years now and i knew wahaj is her either distant cousin or childhood friend, they are quite close that i knew,

if main wahaj ki sirf shakal dekhun to banda cute hai, kaam mein main jo bichar gaye zaroor dekhungi tabhi comment karungi.

now coming to faisal, maine kaafi baari yt par ya insta par pada tha danish taimoor is copying faisal. The kind of acting and chosing scripts, danish is quite alike like faisal.

what do you guys feel about it?

maine thoda bahaut research kiya but still want to ask you guys opinion first.

Narobi, I am not much aware about FQ's work. Whatever I found out is from Google. That's how I knew he has been around for a very long time and is like a veteran of sorts.

I also know that he's Anti-India and Indian Entertainment, that's why I stopped watching Fitoor. The only one time I liked his stance was when he asked people not to bash others during the LSA pantomime.

Afai saw, I did not see any similarities between Faysal and Danish. In fact even if I were to compare Haider with Sultan....well....there is no comparison 😆

Other than that, from whatever material I have seen so far I cannot spot any such thing.

Maybe shopaholic and Melkor can give more insight.

okay here and there a few couple of times i read that danish is choosing same kind of scripts what FQ chose.

so there is a show basher momin, came in 2014 i an not saying his role or so is same but script regressive hi thi. The comment was very random post i dont remember now, but it said alam was kind of inspire by bashar played by FQ.

but ab kuch hafto se here and there i was reading about FQ anti hero roles, he was a psyco husband in zakham, but still end mein ladka ladki mil jate hauin, people say it was quite a torture.

Then i read about muqaddar, ye kaafi in tha show last year. i saw few scenes , guy has done real good acting but vo kuch 50 around age ka hai and abducts heroine because he falls in love with some girl in her early 20's in the first meeting. then marries her by blackmailing her and ladki ko bhi fir pyaar hojata hai and maaf kardeti hai. and later he dies while saving the girl and his unborn child in the girl.

What i have realised is Fq ko last mein ladki mil jaati hai whereas danish and feroze ko itni easily nahin milti hai 🤣

I think Bashar and Alam were different coz afaik Bashar was known for illegal deals. Alam had a very clean public image. The only similarity was that both characters loved their sisters.

The biggest issue of FQ's shows is that they end up justifying all the acts done by his character and he ends up getting the girl back by the end. I haven't watched all his show but mostly read the story and seen the final episode but I know this for sure. In Danish's shows, his characters face the correct consequence for the actions, except in Ishq Hai (where you gotta blame the writing).

Probably the reason why people see the similarity is that both, or rather all three (counting Feroze) play anti-heroes. But Danish and Feroze would appeal to the women and makers can objectify them. I can't see that happening with Faysal.

I don't watch FQ's shows, given his anti-India sentiments...so I prefer staying away 😆

The very first FQ show I watched was Bashar Momin and I liked it back then till a certain point mainly because the character was an antihero. As an actor,he is fairly decent though he did not leave that great an impression on me. Apart from that I watched three other dramas of his on and off - Haiwaan(which had Wahaj and Sanam Chaudhry),Muqaddar and Fitoor both of which I dropped in between. I did watch a couple of episodes of his latest drama Dil E Momin but I got bored and dropped that as well.😆

Both his character and acting sucked in Muqaddar. There was zero appeal whatsoever. However Haiwaan was a rather moving drama that dealt with the sensitive topic of child abuse and, unlike his previous dramas, his character was not given a clean chit over there and rightfully faced the consequences of his crime. Sanam and Wahaj did a fantastic job too. As far as Fitoor is concerned then I won't deny that Haider's character had potential in the initial episodes but all of that went down the drain soon. Personally I don't understand why he is counted among the likes of Humayun,Fawad, etc. Sure he is experienced but Humayun is at an entirely different plane altogether. I haven't watched Fahad Mustafa's projects so I can't comment on him.

Previously neither did I like FQ nor dislike him but knowing that he is Anti India does seal the deal. That being said,I don't think that Danish is choosing characters that are similar to him. Danish's filmography comprises of a wide range of characters that bear no similarity to each other. Then again it is a misconception that every villain and antihero is one and the same. If we have to compare Bashar and Alam then while people would prefer to be wary of Bashar, they would find themselves falling for Alam and his smooth talking.

I haven't watched Muqaddar. Was he that bad?

Haiwaan seems to be too dank and not something I can watch. What's it about?

I guess he's counted amongst Humayun and Fawad because he's been around for very long and has done lots of shows. Fahad Mustafa was a sought after actor when he was working; in fact Danish had played a supporting role in a show with him. Ironically either one of them was named Shahzaib.

@bold: Absolutely seconded. Him, Shan Shahid and Muneeb Butt are three actors who I won't watch in anything.

Danish really has done a wide range of characters, specially his older telefilms had him try various different roles.

Alam was an amazing character. You would love and hate him simultaneously; be happy when he meets his fate but a part of you feels numb when he dies. I think Danish's characters from 2018 were in a different league altogether and there isn't any comparison.
