Part 12 - 'Mere haath main, tera haath ho'
Sai runs to the quieter part of the house and tries to compose herself and her rapidly beating heart. She is delirious from the encounter yet is slightly cursing herself for not having control on her emotions.
Virat is still reeling from the effects of the kiss and Sai’s flushed face is all that he can imagine. He decides that he has to soon propose to Sai.
Around evening, it is time for the Mehendi function and everyone has assembled in the drawing area. Sai is avoiding looking at Virat lest she blushes red and someone might ask her. Virat too is stealing glances at her and has her in constant sight unable to keep himself away from her, now more than ever. On top of that she is looking exceptionally gorgeous in a green anarkali dress.
During the Mehendi, as the Mehendi wali is applying it on Sai’s hands, Karishma comes and discusses something with Sai. Gauri too comes there and whispers something to the girl applying Mehendi. Sai, distracted by Karishma, doesn't realise what the girls are up to. Only when Gauri signals Karishma that the deed is done does she leave Sai.
Sai then looks at her hands and gasps,
“Ye kya kiya aapne?” she asks the Mehendi girl.
“Maine kya kiya? Ye didi ne bola!!” comes the reply.
Gauri and Karishma start giggling and start teasing Sai… “Mitana chahte ho? Lo mita lo”
Sai, shocked but quickly recovers.. “Nahi, rehne do.. Baki sab kharab ho jayega”
Gauri messages in ‘SaiRat’ group and reading this, Mohit goes to Virat and asks him to go and see Sai’s Mehendi when it's done.
Sai on the other hand is dreading if anyone might see it and how to hide it.
Just then Virat comes near her, startling her and asks her “Mehendi dikhao to”
“Kyun.. aapko kyun dekhni hai? Kuch khaas nahi hai!!!”
Virat, surprised at her sudden reaction, now is more than excited to see what it is.
“Dikhao na… aisa kya hai?” and without giving her any chance to run away, holds her wrist and looks at her hand.
“Ohhhh” exclaims Virat, extremely happy and looks at Sai who has her eyes shut to avoid looking at him.
“To tumne mera naam likhva liya apne haath pe Sai?” he asks her… his voice unable to hide all the love.
“Vo… main nahi… Gauri ne karvaya” Sai says with embarrassment.
“To mita deti” Virat says with mock anger, making Sai look at him if he is serious. But all she sees is immense love and passion, making her blush.
As she is about to go, Virat calls her and says… “Ek aur gaana sujh raha hai Sai'' and comes near her, takes her hands in his, kisses them lightly and sings in her ear.
Mere haath mein tera haath ho
Saari jannatein mere saath hon
Tu jo paas ho phir kya yeh jahan
Tere pyar mein ho jaaun fanaa
Sai blushes at the implication and blesses her gods when someone calls her and she is able to run away leaving an amused Virat.
Later, when they are all sitting and having fun, Virat notices that Sai has been growing out her hair and is troubled by the random strands that she cannot push away with her Mehendi hands.
He comes near her a moment later with an outstretched hand. Sai, sees her hair clutcher and turns to look at him and asks, “Ye kahan se mila?”
Virat, with a downturned mouth, quietly replies “Bas sambhalke rakha tha, yaad main”. Sai is pained on understanding what he means and tilts her head to make him look at her and smiles at him. “Ab leke aaye hai to laga bhi dijiye, vaise bhi main to nahi laga sakti”.
Virat, at once smiles and she turns around to help him tie her hair. His hands lightly touch her skin near her shoulders and neck sending sensations all over her body. His hands also seem to be taking just a bit longer at picking all the hair strands while actively caressing her back. There is even a slight tug to the dori of her dress but thankfully Virat doesn't explore further and Sai is glad when it's done. Virat even feeds her food during dinner time but the touches are getting bolder every passing moment.
Later, as everyone is dispersing, Sai is going towards the guest room when she hears Omi talking to Bhavani Kaku in her room. In spite of not wanting to eavesdrop yet hearing her name being taken, Sai waits and tries to listen.
Omi - “Aap dekh rahi hai na Vahini.. Ye sab kya ho raha hai? Ye Sai aur Virat ek dusre ke paas aa rahe hai"
Bhavani - “Haan Omi, dekha to maine bhi. Un dono ki jaise nayi shuruvat ho gai hai”
Omi - “Lekin vo ladki phirse is ghar main aayegi to aap soch sakti hai kya hoga… main nahi chahta ki vo dobara Virat ki patni bane”
Hearing this, Sai feels as if someone has dunked her into icy waters but she wills herself to go away after hearing footsteps.
She goes to the room and throws herself on the bed and starts sobbing while thinking about how beautiful the day was when it started and how it has ended.

I want Virat to fight for Sai so that she is convinced enough and then only commit herself to him.
