Waiting eagerly for Part 3

SO EXCITED FOR THE THIRD PART!

PART 3

Akshara sat silently as Abhimanyu treated the burns on her hand. Thankfully, they were quiet superficial and she would recover within a week. All the while, he debated with himself what to speak and what not. Who needed words when their souls were connected so deep?

"Kyun gayi thi aag me tum? Kyun" His eyes formed the question as his lips remained silent.

"Tumhe bachane ke liye." Akshara looked away from those piercing brown eyes and a half smile bloomed on his face.

"Haan, kyun nahi. Meri jagah aur Koi Bhi hota to tum yahi karti, hai na?" He looked at her penetratingly as he applied the ointment on her palms.

To his amusement, she neither confirmed nor denied his words. She looked away as she tried to blink back her tears and Abhimanyu continued dressing her wounds.

He had sent a hovering Arohi with Neil and waited patiently for Akshara to look at him. He knew he would have to expose Arohi and her lies, but for him, his relationship with Akshara came first and he would do everything in his power to tend and then talk to her.

After a while, she did look at him. The dressing was done and she hastily tried to leave the place, but a firm grip on her wrist stopped her.

"Kab tak bhagogi?"

"Bhagogi? Mai bhaag nahi rahi hun." She flared up and he laughed at his chhoti Sherni.

"Kuch kehna tha tumse. Agar Maine zyada der ki to baat adhuri reh jayegi. Aur pichli baar ki tarah iss baar mai chup rehkar halaton ko bigadne nahi dunga."

She was about to say something, but he stopped her.

"Tumne uss din meri jaan bachayi, aur maine tumhara shukriya ada bhi nahi kiya. Par kya humare rishte me thank you jaise shabd ki jagah hai? You know I was more than grateful. And I know you were finally relieved to see me safe and sound, hai na?" He cupped her face as his gentle tone washed over her.

Akshara shivered at the proximity and tried to move away, but Abhimanyu was having none of it. He held her firmly, though his touch was as gentle as a feather.

"Aaj puri baat bina sune jane nahi dunga. So that, baad me kisi bhi galatfehmi ki koi gunjaish hi na rahe. Know this Akshu, I am going to fight for our love."

"Kya? Kitna baar kahun tumse ki mai tumse pyaar nahi karti?" She jerked away from him, though her heart was beating a mile per minute. She had thought that he had not heard her. She had broken down in her weak moment, but this... she hoped he did not know and was just being stubborn.

"Kehne aur karne me farq jo hai, isliye tumhari baat mai maan nahi paa raha." He laughed lightly at her. "Aisa hi tha to kyun bachaya mujhe?" He asked her.

"Tumhari jagah aur koi bhi hota to bhi mai yahi karti." She ground out, knowing pretty well that it will hurt him. But to her surprise, he just smiled softly before taking her hands in his. Gently placing a kiss on those burned and bandaged appendage, he looked back at her with determination oozing from his eyes.

"Aur meri jagah aur Koi Bhi hota to tum usko gale se lagakar apne pyaar ka izhaar karti? Ye kehti ki uske bina tum jee nahi paogi?"

Time stopped as she gazed at him in fear and desperation. He had heard everything, what could she say now? The damage had been done, she had no way of undoing it. God! She was such a fool.

Bending forward, he dropped a kiss on her soot covered forehead and then pulled her up, steadying her on her feet.

"Don't you even dare to deny it, Akshu. Ab jab mai janta hun ki tum mujhse pyaar karti ho, I will fight for this love- for our love. And before you freak out, let me tell you - both of us are long overdue for a heart to heart to talk. Tum kyun khud ko deny kar rahu ho ye Janna zaruri hai mere liye. But we will do it when you are rested and better, abhi nahi. Abhi to chalo, I will drop you at your home."

"Mai... I will manage."

"Mere rehte tum kyun manage karogi? Mai kisliye hun?" He cupped her face and drew her near. "Jo bhi problem hai we will face it together, Akshu and I promise, hum koi na koi solution nikalenge. Par iss baar apni feelings deny mat karna... mai marr jaunga."

"Abhi!" She looked at him through her tears, his eyes soft and washed in love, his heart brimming with feelings for her and inspite of her reservations, Akshara felt her resolve cracking. How could she stay away from this man who made every single moment of her life a celebration. She knew he would keep his promise, they would tide over this problem together. Why should she deny herself something which was so pure, so beautiful, so heavenly? Why should she stay away from him and his love?

Today had been a wake up call for her. The fear of losing him had been enough to jolt her out of her inertia. The words had simply flowed from her lips. Suddenly, she didn't want to hold back any longer. It was at this juncture that she heard him asking.

"You trust me, don't you?"

She looked at him to see the first signs of doubt creeping in those brown orbs. She hated to see him like this. His pain and anguish were clear in his eyes and it was this heartache which gave her the courage to tide over her insecurities and fear.

Removing the last of the distance between them, she hugged him with all her might. "More than my life, Dr. Abhimanyu Birla."

And as his arms tightened around her petite frame, she couldn't help but notice how perfectly they fit together. Maybe, her future was not that bleak.

Akshu and her methidana are so cute. The problem with ITV is that they take pleasure in distorting a character. I understand Abhmanyu's apathy, but I hate Arohi more. She is such a selfish, spoiled little girl.
