Ranveer anyday looks better than Vicky. His energy and talent were compared to young SRK when he debuted in 2010 with BBB.
He performed to perfection in Bajirao Mastani where acting wise Deepika was a weak link. He saved an otherwise boring and slow film like Padmavat with his award winning act as Khilji. A weak and faltu film like Simmba is a superhit due to him. Simmba is one of Shetty's weakest films but still hit thanks to Ranveer and it had only newbie Sara not some other heroine with him.
Vicky never had looks or charisma to do commercial films that Kat mostly did. Why'd he be paired with her when he has not been paired with ANY A list actress and mostly worked in offbeat films like Masaan or a war film like Uri with likes of Richa and Yami? The most popular actress Vicky has ever worked with is Kiara Advani.
There is no need to bring down Ranveer just to defend Vicky who, is nowhere near Ranveer's level as a star and whose highest grosser is a film where he played sidekick to Ranbir Kapoor aka Sanju.
Amused how only this forum trashes Ranveer's obvious success, talent, stardom and onscreen energy. Ranveer is far more popular in real life.
People talk as if Ranveer was like Abhishek Bachchan if not for Deepika marrying him.
LOL! Ranveer and Deepika legit succeeded as an onscreen couple and had huge fan following and hits together before they got married. Casting is decided by filmmakers. Actors cannot choose who to pair with. Bhagyashree was shown the door when she insisted to be cast only opposite her husband Himalaya. You think Ranveer would deliberately get filmmaker like Bhansali to cast him with Deepika in 3 films? And Bhansali would agree to demands of a 'nobody' actor like Ranveer?
Vicky and Kat did no films together because Vicky does medium budget films, offbeat or serious subjects unlike Katrina who does big budget entertainers. They have totally different personalities and genres. Vicky is junior to Kat in showbiz as well. Vicky is not considered bankable for commercial entertainers that Kat mostly does.
Rather Vicky got more known to the world now thanks to marrying a bigger star like Katrina.
