Ranveer is popular and has lot of hit films with mass appeal in his career. How is he a nobody? Ranveer and Deepika became a hit onscreen couple also before they got married.

Ranveer is a serious contender for new #1 position while it is not same case for Vicky. So how is he a nobody and why would anyone make topics about him?

He looks better than Vicky though he is not a conventionally handsome guy like Hrithik, John or Milind Soman. But he still looks good and was admired for his chemistry with Deepika. They have succeeded in most films they did. No film starring this jodi has been a flop.

IMO Vicky is better looking than Ranveer..specially with that stubble..ranveer looks bad with a beard..mainly coz he mixes it with long hair

Sahi mein. This is such a dumpster fire of a thread. Do you all really believe that people who LOOK good together must get married? Like Barbie/Ken and Brad/Jen?

Real-life is totally different. Building a home with someone requires many other things besides just name, fame and looks. Also none of us are given the BEST of the BEST options- whether we are regular joes or Tom Cruise or Kat...we all have to make the best of the options life presents to us.

This is what Kat is doing and I applaud her for it. If you take such a critical gaze to all couples you will find faults in everyone. Shouldnt DP have married someone at her level? Ranveer was a hit but his star hadn't fully ascended by then, the way it has now. Shouldnt RK, according to this forum, have married someone more grown up and "hot"?? (not my words). We can keep on doing this going all the way back to Amitabh Jaya and Dilip Kumar Saira Banu.

Happiness is a very elusive thing. If life presents you with an opportunity to build something, it should be grabbed at with both hands.

There used to be a time, when the same forum has hyped up Vicky K as the next big thing after sliced bread..and now literally treating him like thrash, because he managed to lock Kat down.

Vicky comes across as a subtle, sensible, respectful guy and he is passionate about his craft. He was actually the best thing about Sanju, and Uri was a huge blockbuster. He is NOT a nobody and even though I dont find him good looking, but no denial on the fact that he is a good actor, and seems to be a good person too. I just really hope KJO doesnt corrupt him..when I saw him totally zoned out in that drug party video..I was really sad and never expected him to join the shit gang of KJo.

Rest the way he spoke to Kat in that tapecast..I can see why Kat chose him - she has had a string of abusive relationships - Salman and RK have both been extremely mean to her and I always felt like they used to mock her and not respect her..Vicky is respectful, which means a lot to her..more than money and looks for sure..and as a couple they look really nice together IMO

Actually people did question Dilip and Saira. As Dilip was way older than Saira and it was his second marriage. People wondered why Saira chose to marry a much older man who had left his first wife. Lot of people who had hoped Dilip would marry Madhubala were disappointed when it did not happen.

People were disappointed when Dev Anand married Kalpana Kartik instead of Suraiya and cursed her family for objecting to that match due to communal differences.

Just that there was no internet or social media back then so this rona dhona remained limited to real life convos and that too only between film fans.

There was dislike for Reena and Kiran also with people wondering why Aamir married them since they were not very glamourous to look at. Aamir was mocked for his taste in women.

Availability of social media and internet made discussions more prominent. As did media hype around celeb weddings. Karishma got almost pity when her wedding was televised and people saw Sanjay Kapur and learnt he was divorced and had kids from first marriage.

Side effects of social media and national media causing overexposure of celebs.

When Nargis married Sunil Dutt..after her hit jodi onscreen and off screen with Raj Kapoor..I wonder how the public took the news .Sunil Dutt ofcourse went on to have a long and succesful career in films and politics.
