The producers of Udariyaan are bringing a new show to Colors. Apart from this another new show is also on it’s way. So I guess the rumours flying around this show going off air are true.
I am so pissed at the makers for what they did to Ishita’s character. What she and her fans were promised and what we got after the marriage breaking track. The Kajol the show began with and the one we see now.
In their never ending quest to glorify the Male lead’s character and adding vamp on top of vamp on top of vamp, they did Ishita incredible injustice. Karan Suchak is doing well as Anurag but he is no Vivian Dsena who can carry the show alone on his shoulders. In Sirf Tum the FL is shown weak but that show gets trps because of Vivian’s fan following alone.
Please before anyone jumps on me, I know that Vivian’s character is terrible. The point I am trying to make is that TSBTSP should have kept Anjol’s love story along with Arjun/Shreya the focus. Ishita and Harshad’s fandom could have been utilised but instead they lost all interest in the show. And can you blame them. It’s about logistics. Common sense. Give viewers a love story of the leads and better characterisation of the known faces to grab their fans.
Also giving one episode of confession and then going back to negativity the next. Give me a break! I have rarely seen such obsession with negativity.Their female lead turned mute and into a punching bag, while everyone else around her reached the pinnacle of positivity or negativity. Keeping the fangirls happy, unbearable negativity, snail like pace and most importantly giving a 360 turn to Kajol’s character. Everything ruined this show.
Shame on the CVs for choosing Noina/Chondana’s pathetic track over Kajol’s responsibilities + love story and shame on them for choosing Priyanka over Arjun/Shreya. If this is the capacity of these CVs, then it’s no wonder this show is about to end.
Harshad's fandom stopped watching long back (post the wedding slap), only few stuck around like me others all stopped (because he wasn't the lead and therefore they did not have to deal with the excessive negativity within the show). He chose a neg character, which is fine but then the writers had to go and make Arjun a chomu and a loser unlike a proper villian like Shaurya from Ek Haseena thi played by Vastal Sheth(the reason I watched Baazigar and fell in love with Vatshita). Jasmine is ok but not on Harshad's level, Patrali is good, they could have planned something to ruin Kajol from the Arjun- Shreya nexus as economic difficulties that would arise from business but could be made worse by Shreya's father. Anurag should have been her philosophical and life guide but they jumped the gun and went full blown romantic angle with him as the saviour.
Chandana and Naina natak was a big misstep. But they could have salvaged it by making the romance of Anjol the main central and focal point. But they had to ruin that too by bringing in Priyanka the stalker and Naani the Old Buffoonish Hag.
The show epitomizes the term "Naam bade aur darshan chhote". The story that was promised to us through the promos was lost to the whims and fancies of the Creatives. And they have not even handled the romance angle well. The romantic chemistry that could be built in a slow burn is being given in sudden bursts and that certainly is confusing us. Plus when the whole fandom feels that something ominous is about to happen any minute it makes it impossible be to enjoy the love story.
Plus the whole insta and twitter fandom is also not organised and is in panic mode due to the Damocles Sword hanging of the show being replaced hanging over their heads.
Harshad's character though was my main motivation to watch, I had come with a grain of salt that he was not central to the story. I was looking forward to Ishita being spunky and strong and I had loved her scenes with Patrali near the wedding. Her iron backbone was starting to show. The slap was the pinnacle of her strength but then the writers lost the plot. They destroyed Kajol's character traits and made her a damsel in distress. A journey of growth of a sheltered and protected girl who was not part of the outside world into a strong and independent career woman who is the breadwinner of the family was crushed under the burden of all the hateful patriarchal tropes that the writers could summon.
Ishita's potential was totally lost, her emotional scene though again a crying scene in the latest episode, was so good. Her emotional presence was awesome. The show can only be saved if they now focus on Anjol properly and make Ishita and Karan the focal point getting rid off all distractions like Priyanka. Because they have lost all the other plot points. I wish the show whenever it ends, ends with Anjol having a happy ending. But to be honest I feel it has actually been damaging to Ishita and Harshad's careers as far as their character growth is concerned.
