Sure, Katrina could have married some business mogul and could have spent the rest of her life as a trophy wife.

But she's never given the impression that's she's such a woman. During the whole Ranbir saga, she came off as the mature lover, while Ranbir acted like a douchy boyfriend, a typical Indian "mama's pampered boy."

It's clear that she values love and compatibility more than material wealth. She's in the minority in that industry.

Say what you want about Katrina (or Salman btw), the way they cherish their respective families is a rarity today. She has her priorities right. Life is shit without family and loved ones.

If she's happy with Vicky and Vicky is happy with her, why does that appear as an issue to complete strangers on the internet?

Women at a certain age just want stability and will marry the man that can provide that. I doubt Kat 6 years ago would have even looked at him as a potential partner but he is now.
