A) Karan really gets along with Shamita? Yes most of us dislike her for obvious reasons and want HMs to confront her and all of that based on what we are shown in the episodes.. but maybe there is a side to her that people like? Have you noticed Umar is so nice with her now.. feeding her protein cake and I saw her being really nice to him too..

and/or

B) he consciously stays away from confronting her knowing she is the favored one.. pange leke fayda nahi hai.. jab isko akhri tak jhelna hi hai..

In the episode, she thought Umar will bring her into the VIP zone but he chose Teja over her. She broke down. Whole group of VIP including Kundra and Teja were not keen on her and Umar wanted to bring her still but then he caved and Vishal won during the raincoat task - she never really got over the fact she wasn't chosen by Umar who was subtly or not discouraged from bringing her in.

Anyway her actions are on her but gussa rajiv par nikala lekin trigger kuch aur hi tha, she wouldn't have been in that position had her 'friends' rooted for her.
