I dont know about the writers. But I saw this on twitter. We can see Neil clearly internalizes Virat, otherwise those subtle loving expressions he csnnot bring anywhere and everywhere. He is consitent with those. I think Neil is definitely a good actor and professional one too. It is the writers who are mixing stuff...my opinion

Neil truly is effortless on screen..He did make rono worked otherwise I wouldn't adore him the way his character is written..Without his inputs it was never possible .

Having said that there are certain degree of uneasiness visible.. Either it's the artists fault or the direction.. Both should work out on that.. Few scenes could have been avoided if director doesn't know the tricks to put it up.. For example the fall scene. That could have been really embarrassing for Neil if he hurt Ayesha..He literally fell on her thighs ..Now that the leads onscreen dynamics are changing I am hoping their raports will improve as well as it needed for the scene to come out perfect...I am tired of social distancing standing position... 👎🏼Once I read an interview of a popular actress where she mentioned "audience ko pata chal hi jata hai" .

Though I blame the lacklustre direction than the actors here .

Absolutely the recent hug was little awkward. Could be due to the height difference. So they should have used better techniques to show it. I agree that going forward they have to show their closeness in an organic way. The touches and hugs should be causal and intimate to show their progression. Lets see.

I think for me the recent hug and Sairat scenes are all good. Hug mein height diff tha but it felt intimate with her head on his chest, the way he was combing her hair. And they also held hands, face cupping tha... this "friendship" is good.it has had some original Sairat scenes, some good honest conversation and has looked very real.

Occasionally they do unnecessarily "social distancing" like when Virat needed to support Sai walking or they abruptly cut good scenes like Sai Virat hug in college function, Sai holding Virats hand while sleeping after getting scared about chudail, Sai pressing Virats head for him, Sairat lift scene recently during visarjan- sabko abruptly cut karte hai which affects the quality of the scene.

Abd then after good Sairat scene they give an original and unwanted virat pp scene or a really cringey pp scene or a butchery of Virat which dilutes all the good impact of the nice Sairat scenes.

After seeing sbs camera angles ,direction team ruined sairat hug, actors are not to be blamed

His performance is not the issue. He is a good performer n there have been many posts praising it. All of us know hes a good actor. He has often elevated material but once in a blue moon he does miss- like he did during post anniversary/pre accident scenes. The makers showed us virats anger n frustration but forgot to balance it with any tenderness or love n Virat also didnt give us any expressions/nuances to that effect. At that point it was as if there was no love, no regard even.

So his performance like 80-90% of the time is bang on which is great for a tv show.

But its his inconsistencies as the character of Virat that is very bothersome which is a result of poor writing.

The makers need to understand that Sairat n ghkkpm cant be about many good Sairat "scenes" woven in an illogical and random plot. There needs to be some thought, attention , progression, consistency. Otherwise we could just as well watch Sairat scenes on insta without watching the full show! 🙄

And its tough to believe that these "original" virat pp scenes are not out of offscreen pressures. It doesn't organically fit in the story at all. These latest scenes for example were not only unwanted but make Virat look like an idiot. And they diluted the impact of a well written n well performed Sairat scene with very average direction followed by the needless virat-pp crap. So who came up with the idea n why. If the actors give inputs at all - how come no one questioned the necessity of the scene. And how much of this "professionalism" is due to makers n how much the 2 concerned actors are involved- or maybe just one is involved- we can't say. But i dont believe that the makers think that they needed virat pp lifting scene, bedroom scene etc to further the plot....and so if they still included it, then why did they do so? We wont get direct answers.

The recent hug was fine IMO. Any awkwardness was purely due to NB and Ayesha being very close in height. All they had to do was avoid the long shot - then it would not have seemed awkward....SBS actually had such shots😆. There have been scenes before of Sai resting her head on Virat's chest - anniversary hotel room and Pakhi parents anniversary - that's the kind of camera work they should have used.

The only scene which looked bad was the recent fall. Overall it was badly executed. Again just my opinion. They had used only a single camera angle in close-up and that was not a good angle. We atleast got to see a little bit of the FL's expression (sideways), but there was no way of knowing what expression the ML had. It would have been fine if only they had used the camera better..like in previous scenes where Sai falls on Virat...Holi and laddoo scene.

In general, I'm willing to let go since this is ITV....and I always keep my expectations low. The biggest setback in this show still remains the weak script IMO.
