While I agree, Harsh is way too insensitive with Manjiri but Manjiri does give a number of reasons to get irritated with.. he keeps taunting and she keeps saying to ignore and laughing and smiling and telling Abhi.. you are just like your dad!!! .. c'mon show some self respect.. can she not learn from other members of the family who are highly educated?
Exactly - Rajashri, Gayatri, Varsha were so ahead of time compared to Manjiri! Maheshwari's were the bestest in the entire history of YRKKH! It feels like we have gone back in time. Very very disappointed in the makers.

Akshara was not even allowed to go outside without taking permission of her dad and she would most definitely have had to toil hard to convince them to let her stay elsewhere for 3 years. Whereas Akshu was given so much freedom. So I dont think it is a matter of going back in time as much as it is about showing different personalities and characters.
I know it is frustrating to see a character like Manjri who has no self respect or confidence in herself but believe it or not, a lot of women are like that in this world so I am very happy they are showing this. I can relate very well because my mum was like that and it isnt because of the person, its because of the trauma they experience in childhood/life which suppresses their emotions as they lose their confidence to even share their opinions. And Abhi's character also has a lot of depth because of the childhood he witnessed and the makers could explore this but they're too obessed with love triangles at the moment. I hope they show Manjri coming out of her shell like Anupama did.

She was never appreciated by her husband and has always felt that she is inferior than him. Abhi's shaadi and her choice of girl(Arohi) might be the first time Harsh has appreciated her and she is holding on to it like this wedding g would solve ALL her problems that's why she is too excited.
Also like everyone said we can't compare her with others and all the other ladies had respectful loving relationships whereas Majnjari has always been tainted insulted and made to feel inferior
yes exactly,.I think manjeri has experienced this inferiority complex from even before marriage. Her elder sister is super smart and excelled at studies..and this always makes parents proud. Iâm not sure what education manjeri hasâŚmost probably she didnât go to college or university..so maybe she was compared to her sister from a young ageâŚand made to feel inferior..this actually does happen in families,..and her sister married first and looks like manjeri had an arranged marriage as harshvardan said something along that lines that he had to marry even though he didnât want to and he had to fulfill that obligation..and manjeri has felt inferior in her marriage tooâŚSo she has this complexâŚthat sheâs not good enough for her husband,.. Goenkas and abhimanyu are to blame for this confusion and not manjiri. Goenkas keep saying "hamari poti" but never the name of their poti when they speak to manjiri (as if they have only one), then manjiri was introduced to arohi by abhimanyu in video call as being from goenkas family which further added to her confusion that arohi is the goenka poti that swarna told her of. Then abhimanyu naively calling akshara as dil ki doctor, giving manjiri the impression the girl he likes is a doctor. So poor manjiri has been unintentionally mislead by goenkas and abhimanyu.
I believe she was always made feel very less of herself as mahima was her sister which must be overshadowing her from childhood. Then she got her married to her BIL who never let go any chance to show her that she is nothing.
We donât know how her other family treated her that can highlight a bit on her character. Remember once Arohi made fun of Akshara for her project. Everyone got angry on Arohi saying that everyone has some special quality no one is less than others may be manjeri never got that.
