I believe that they wanted to give Umar their limelight as Shamita is saying that Umar doesn’t have a mind of him. It’s good thing that she stopped otherwise Neha will start Karan is controlling Umar.

Also these three always allow others to fight their battles alone. Karan never helped Teja in her fight. So does Teja. Umar is able to stand alone types in front of Shamita because no one supporting in his fight.
