I have stopped watching since divorce. I have to say such extreme level of manipulating was genius. Anyone who wants to blame Anu for Malini look at this this is pure Malini with her mask down and true face revealed and what extent she can go to get what she wants. Atleast Anu had some limits and all her wrongdoings is for her child but Malini is using the real or fictional child for her selfish cause. Makers are really going for proverbial route of hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

This thing was done to bring male lead more closer to malini and enhance his fatherly instincts and protectiveness for kid.This was to establish more emotional connection between male lead and kid.

In future they will also show malini trapping Imlie in sacrificing her mother hood in the name if her baby comes in future the rights of malini and male lead k babay won't be given to him/ her,and since Imlie is also connected to the unborn ,she will sacrifice.
