It is not so easy.
1. Piya Ji is from a label that has already released many songs. It is written by an established lyricist and directed by HR.

2. Piya Ji is a wedding song. It has a market.

3. Youtube views by fans are limited to 5 - 6 M at best. The general public has to view. Piya Ji is getting public views.

4. Piya Ji trended for about 10 days on YTube Music and also trended on YT. Trending videos tend to do well.

5. Piya ji is a catchy song which is executed beautifully by Arunita and plays to her strengths.

All the above were either missing or not at the same level for Manzoor Dil.

That many Arunita fans were not thrilled with M Dil is evident from comments here and elsewhere. But their lack of interest does not drive YTube success beyond a point.
There is no guarantee that the next Arunita solo will be a hit despite the fans. Other things have to work.

As far as votes go, there are many fans of the winner who supported him not just for his singing but a mix of things. Now that the show is over they are no longer into SM music. Most serious fans today are masala fans. They are not his original vote bank and do not count for as much as they make noise.

PD had a large fanbase comparing to Aru at the beginning of II12 due to winning Voice title. Aru keeps on increasing her fanbase everyday with her singing and will continue. She is here for long term, her existence and popularity are not a fluke. Winning II title is a very negligible achievement comparing to her potentially.

Octopus needs to focus on increasing their subscriber base and take music sincerely instead of trying to sell any chemistry. They should forget chemistry to learn mystery of success. MD did not do bad but could do better if they did not try to create hype about Arudeep. Music should be the main strength of a music video, not any chemistry. As a song, MD is not bad but audience did not accept the same at expected level because of immatured marketing strategy of Octopus and at the same time using Aru as a show piece in the song.

They should confirm optimum use of musical talent of Aru and SMP in next songs. They should have trust on Aru's voice, not on her face.

Piyajee itself is a nice song with popular content which became a masterpiece in Aru's golden voice. HR did a great job as well!

But let us not go there. There are viewers on other platforms, fans on other platforms, and the differences in total views is not so significant. If you take out the top songs of each there is hardly any difference in total solos.

I'm from a small/unrepresented state and whenever any person from our state make it to national level competition we all root for them and they used wins in public voting even if they are not the best and our politicians all endorse them. Same happened to the winner with politicians rallying behind him, making a road in his name, chief minister asking votes for him etc
