Though, I understand this but you are looking at it in a very logical and practical point of view, dismissing her emotional and mental state during this entire scenario.

It's always easy to speak up and say do this/do that for another person who is going through it but when you become the victim of that circumstances, out of nowhere, and the person who is doing it is someone who you would NEVER even imagine in your wildest nightmare, it can be very difficult to figure out how to react.
