I finally caught up with this show.
Although I am still not happy with the brownface, Ahmed is beyond brilliant. In Pakistan I feel like actors don't put that much effort into their characters. Such close attention to body language, to mannerisms or adding quarks to the characters, what AAA has done is so beautiful to watch. I wish more performers would invest in this kind of process.
I do get annoyed when people say he looks ugly, when I think he actually looks cute. I don't like people insinuating that having dark skin = being ugly.
- Although I usually don't find Ushna a very good actress I think she did do justice to her role, she does still have a strange habit of doing weird expressions.
- Saboor suited the role of Bubbly, I really liked the interactions between Parizaad and her, it clearly gave him more confidence. I was also very happy with the surprise of Dilawar!
- Mashal was really good. The scene where she and Parizaad are speaking for the last time was heartbreaking I had tears in my eyes.
- Urwa looked incredibly beautiful, I felt bad for her character a bit as well as for Behroze Karim.
The pace of the show is really good, hopefully they don't end up dragging it because it's getting amazing trps.
