Raghav - to forgive or not to forgive?

So today, Raghav has polarized us. We either stand by him or pelt another stone at his disgraceful self. I am sure unlike other times, today he won't raise his hand in defense to protect himself. If that's how he shall earn her forgiveness, he'll gladly agree to be stoned to death.

However, I am sitting on the fence. I can't get myself to hate him. I can't get myself to rip him away from Pallavi. But I can't let him get a free pass either.

There is no two thoughts about the fact that Raghav has made his share of mistakes around pallavi. Infact for the past more than one month (post Mandar track) Pallavi has become the sole guardian of this relationship. He has taken her and her presence for granted may be because of her constant reassurances that she is not going anywhere. His handling his emotions around Esha got me to raise my eyebrows too.

Should he have had a drinking session with esha? NO!

Was it ok for him to share a room with her? NO!

Was he right in hiding Esha's 'me too' from Pallavi? NO!

Is he right about hiding his one night escapade with Esha from Pallavi? NO!

But should he be pushed into the hell fire for eternity for an event which seems so contrived, fishy and is most likely a trap? Yet again, NO!

Raghav has been a seasoned drunkard and has a good experience around women. He doesn't come across someone who would do things like this in his stupor. The state where he could barely keep his eyes open, he called for Pallavi... Yes he imagined Pallavi. But that's not something new. He has been hallucinating Pallavi since a very long time. But he never crossed his line around her. The most disgusting line that was uttered by the lady here who seemed sober enough to register that the call was not for her yet she leaned in to close the gap. So to my better judgment, this was a trap. Nothing happened between them.

Yes he have made mistakes, but he deserves at least one chance to mend the bridges he has severed in his ignorance. He does deserve a chance with Pallavi, not only for himself but for her sake too.

Raghav betrayed Pallavi's trust when he agreed to share a drink with Esha. However, he wasn't thinking much beyond one drink. He agreed for game that put him in the position that he got played. That was his error in this entire fiasco. He made a wrong judgment, once again trusting the girl who twisted his life 7 years back. He threw caution to air. That's his fault.

I can't shut my eyes to the love Raghav holds in his heart for Pallavi. The guy would survive without air but the thought that he betrayed her, was suffocating him. There is no harsher punishment than self loathing and right now Raghav is in his own personal hell... Should he suffer? Heck yes! Because he needs to realize too that love and trust will always go hand in hand. And if Pallavi trusts him, he needs to value that. He needs to understand that the promises he makes to her are to be honoured. He needs to prove himself worthy of her trust and cherish her presence in his life. She is after all the best thing that has happened to him. The woman who took a bullet for him and not once raised a finger or blamed him for her near death experience.

Pallavi on the other hand lives for this man. She has been battling loneliness with a smile that would put the brightest star to shame. For the first time in her life, she got a place where she found belongingness. This is her home. Her love. Her family. Raghav's alleged truth will break her. It may be so painful that the pain may numb her senses. She may pick up her mortal remains and leave but how long do we think a person devoid of soul may survive? That girl has been holding herself up too strong and Raghav is the dam that's built up on her emotions. If the dam breaks, she will drown in the swirl of her own emotions. I can't see that happen to her. Raghav is her comfort. And since this time around, he's out to give her the biggest shock of her life, it can only be him who can heal her. She's possessive of him and she'll be possessive of the pain given by him too to let it go. He'll have to break her shell. Bleed in the process, howl and cry to just be heard and drive to the limits of insanity to keep her sane. It could only be done by him. She won't allow that access to any one else but him.

And that's why for the sake of their relationship, Pallavi and himself, Raghav has to undertake this steep uphill journey of redemption all over again. It is rightly said that, "Every pain gives a lesson and every lesson changes a person"

How did you know I wanted you to make a post 🍉

Firstly thanks for saying this. I so wanted someone to highlight Raghav's pain in all this. Pallavi's pain is quite visible to everyone toh usko bolne ki zarurat bhi nai hai.

Raghav knows he has made a mistake that is unpardonable (he doesn't know yet it's a trap), he has hated cheaters all his life. I know for a fact that Raghav would never cheat on his wife even during a deal marriage. That's a no go territory for him. That's my blind trust in him.

He was willing to do the unthinkable in the lota episode, I can't even imagine how much more of a penance he'll undertake this time. It's going to be so hard to watch but it will give him solace. He's already dying with guilt and he will inflict self pain along the road of redemption. When she will break, he will break too, what more of a punishment can Raghav have that he caused Pallavi so much pain that it broke her soul.

Pallavi and Raghav love each other more than their own self. We have seen them both almost die for the other. When love is this strong, it is not easy to leave the relationship and go. I've always said that Pallavi is strong enough and can survive without Raghav but he won't. I guess Raghav also believes this and hence his insecurities are more.

Pallavi will be a zinda lash without Raghav. Woh uske har zarre main hai. I go back to their confession episodes to realise how deep their love it. Have we even managed to understand that? When love is so deep, it is beyond all reasoning, it's beyond rationality and it's beyond logical thinking.

She may take time to come to terms with the betrayal and after she sees his true repentance and redemption, will have it in her heart to forgive him. I want her to take her time, make it clear to him how much he broke her and then give him another chance.

I really want Raghav to come clean to her, repent and never ever take her love and trust for granted. No marriage can work without trust and he'll have to work very hard to regain her trust (he had easily gained it the last time but this time he will struggle to get it back).

I agree with you Sonia ki he made mistakes but none of them so grave ki their relationship should break. I'm going on the assumption that he is trapped by Esha and it's almost 99 percent the case.

Raghav has never crossed his line around Pallavi when he was as drunk as he was that night. I don't think he did anything. Esha was the one who crossed her boundaries.

In my heart I believe this instance will make them stronger as a couple.

I totally agree with this post. Raghav has done mistakes the first and foremost being that he did not tell Pallavi that Esha still has feelings for him. I do not hold him accountable for going to save Esha - He would have done for any other girl and I do not hold him accountable for getting her to the room.

However he should have left Esha in the room and should have spent the night in the lobby. But he wanted answers for his past - He needed a closure from that betrayal. So when Esha told her sob story he kind of believed that and he did feel bad for her because while he has happily moved on with Pallavi here Esha seemingly walked into an abusive relationship to save him. I seriously feel the sob story was to trap Raghav because Esha knows that Raghav is an emotional person.

The drinking thing was the biggest mistake Raghav made - He should not have been that impulsive and given in to the demands of Esha no matter what especially when he gave his word to Pallavi to give up on drinking. The morning after when he realized that he might have crossed the line with Esha he just couldn't bear the guilt. His one dialogue of - I wish I could die now instead of facing Pallavi tells the audience what Pallavi means to Raghav. He would rather die than look into her eyes after the sin he committed.

Pallavi is of course going to be broken when this truth comes out. She does not deserve this - To know that her Raghav crossed the line with his ex - it is going to hurt her self-respect, her pride and everything. And seeing Pallavi's pain is going to pain Raghav even more - To know that he caused Pallavi this pain and humiliation, he will go through a personal hell to forgive himself.

I really feel if the writers could write the redemption track good then this track might be even better than the Hyderabad track because now we know how much these two love each other. The agony of the mistake, the pain and the longing to be with each other - it would be beautiful. If only the writers show sensitivity to both the characters. Let's hope for the best.

You guys wrote everything I wanted to say & that's exactly how I feel.

I don't want to be redundant.

But this is exactly why I'll never shun Raghav for this and neither will Pallavi.

Him imagining Pallavi broke my heart - for him. I was heartbroken for him.

I want Pallavi to take her time and make him understand the pain he causes her, and I want Raghav to realize what his impulsive decisions and lying does to his wife. That's all. And then, hopefully he can be the partner that she deserves, the partner he was during HYD time, and they can have a much stronger relationship.

Thank you for this wonderful post. You've said everything that I had in mind.

Raghav would indeed prefer to die than have to face her and the way he's been avoiding looking her in the eye since his return only underlines that fact.

This journey isn't meant to be easy, they will have trials of fire because they are so connected to one another, have been since day 1. I'm in for the ride and I agree with those who feel that this track could be a beautiful one if written well.

I agree with u but cannot trust writers they are showing all the things as cringe as mandar track

Pallavi not going to award function to take care of mandar similar to that raghav rushing to esha’s house to see she is all right or not.

Hecould have sent Farad the loyal friend to check on Esha instead of rushing himself, those things make us hate Raghav more than understanding his pain

I am thinking both Eshha and Raghav can be innocent and Lskshmi could have misused her power as well to undress them as both are drunk.

I do not see a need to be in the show but they kept her, she is good in misusing the power.

She would have known the news that Raghav was with a girl and she did not let pallavi go in the night.

Most sensible post i read in the forum today and thank you for this . Yes I agree to everything you said here . You covered all grounds and said things without any partiality for sure

As for the rest i would like Ragahv to do those bold underlined lines for her and only then he could be redeemed . Thanks

Writers won’t go this way I’m sure . Instead they’ll be showing us Ragahv caring for Easha and her constant emotional blackmail to keep him away from Pallavi and Ragahv doing just that and in the process loosing Pallavis trust and that’s about it . Then everything will be ok in 2 episodes max . No redemption nothing .

Totally agree! I made a similar post called mistakes! And outlined similar points. His mistake was the joining the game challenge and esha tricked him into that as she knows he will never refuse a challenge. We know that from beginning days when pallavi used to challenge him and he used to say raghav rao kabhi koi challenge haarta nahi so here too just like a typical man, he accepted the challenge and when u look at it, it was one bottle and both of them sharing so he didnt think he would get that drunk. He was way more drunk here then he has been after having a couple of bottles during the diamond smuggling days so kuch toh gadbad hai. Also he thought he had laid his cards out that she can try as much as she can to patai him but he wont be pataid as he is married and has an awesome wife and they love each other. So after that he thought he was just having drink with a friend as that is what esha said. She got drunk in her one peg and confessed and hugged. He looked uncomfortable but when she said are u feeling uncomfortable around me, he said no bcoz first of all she is drunk and second of all she was just beaten by her husband, she also admitted the reason she left him. He feels sorry for her. She got stuck with the worst and here he is happy with his life. At that point he forgives her in his mind and he tells her to go sleep and she says i dont want to sleep etc and he looks a little uncomfortable when she says can i ask u for something. It was a simple request of talking and reminiscing as friends and he agreed but she also said we wont talk about my sad past etc which once again made him feel guilty and then she challenged him and he thought whats the harm. Ive had a lot more than this and not gotten that drunk so she will lose ofcourse and that way atleast she will get some peace and he will feel less guilty for misunderstanding her all those years ago. Well esha as we know knew Raghav very well. His insecurities, his likes, dislikes etc and we know how she possessively talked about him to Pallavi saying he is so angry and impulsive etc which showed that she knew him like the back of her hand. They were together way more than pallavi and raghav are so she knows what his weaknesses are and knows what buttons to push. Also her acting hurt and on the road etc she knows he will save her as he had that in him. He won’t leave a girl out in the night alone. So all of this i feel is her plan and raghav fell into it hook line and sinker. So no i dont feel he is at fault but i do feel that he should tell pallavi but then again look at real life. Which husband will have a one night stand and come home and tell his wife who he claims to love more than anything that i slept with my ex as i imagined it was you after i had a drink fest even though i promised u i wouldnt but felt bad for my ex as her husband abused her and i felt sorry for her so joined her while she drank. Tell me a husband will come home and say all that. On the same day…NEVER! It will take a couple of days or more when he gets courage to face Pallavi but by then sunny will create the drama and tell pallavi and she will be upset and hurt but would it be less if raghav told her on the same day? NOPE…it wouldn’t have been any less and raghav telling her would be even worse bcoz she just spend a night in a police station looking for him worried sick and he was with his ex drinking and sleeping. It would have hurt way more. A few days later you forget what exactly you were doing at the time and the adrenaline has worn off and you’re able to calmly think and reason. So yeah these two need to talk but without interference. I want raghav to tell her but ofcourse that wont happen. As for forgiving, Pallavi has a forgiving nature so she will forgive but i dont want her to make it easy for Raghav. And i want Raghav to try extra hard to gain her trust.

Sorry Sonia (I hope I get your name right) for quoting this line, not really have the intention to have a discussion but I couldn't ignore that line. It triggered me bad. Because whenever a cheating happens here in our society, our society always gives the same reason (when it's about man). Galti ho gaye & all, deserves a chance... I know intention here is May be different

Please ignore this post. I just couldn't ignore this.

& I hope you're doing well.🤗

P.s. I'm not shaming you or calling you anything for this. Just found that line disturbing.
