the dialogs are the least of the problem. The entire movie is problematic

I think I recently wrote a similar post about this movie

It's a remake of a South movie and many remakes of Telugu/Tamil movies have similar scenes/themes

Isn't this the same movie where birthing fluid from Raveena splashes in Rekha's face(and mouth) and wipes her sindhoor just as her husband dies... Wow! Just wow!

I didn’t understand why her sitting in the swing and reading a book was an issue. She was coming out to be a bit snobbish though, her attitude and snobbishness didn’t help her case in putting her point across. If you don’t agree with something, there are better ways to put your point across without insulting the person. Though her mard par haath uthana part was annoyingly. She could have argued logically rather than attacking her personally and calling her an illiterate.

Her devar and Bhabhi are actually echoes of society in general. How they expect “bahu/ bhabis “ to be.

The most important question I have is, why couldn’t they take another actor to play Rekha’s husband? So, two brothers are twins that look like they have a huge generation gap.. and there’s no resemblance with the third brother 😆

The whole khandaan is taking Raveena on a guilt trip.🤣..BTW how old is this movie...there are a lot of values that were acceptable back then but not anymore...people behave according to the norms of the society at that particular time....may be some of the things we follow today will be obsolete in the next 30 years and then those kids will say....ye kya dekh liya..😆 I always view things according to the time they happened...

Never watched this film. It used to be on tv a lot. I don't get how Rekha was comfortable doing this one. What happens at the end ...do they realise they were wrong ? Guess not. There are so many such films that are centered on the theme of teaching the city bred girl a lesson and she's always a caricature ( like Raveena is in this one) . And unfortunately there are plenty of women like Rekha even today. They call themselves educated ; by that they mean they can read and speak English ,that's about it .And a degree that was pointless because only terrible mothers work ,not them.

So Handlebar Anil ran a household without knowing how much land he owned? Maybe he should have figured that out instead of spending all his time on make up

Maybe I shouldn't say this but the guy she slapped looked slappable. Ek aur milni chahiye for picking up the flowers as if she had tossed a tampon

I was too distracted by Anil's shoulder and scapula hair.
