Evening Time

At Chavan Niwas everyone was enjoying Amrit chai made by none other than patralekha. They were enjoying this rainy weather with Chai and pakodas but one person was very tensed. And that was patralekha, she was worried about Virat and Sai , she had went to Virat’s room to talk about something important but he was not there and Sai was also not there. And she knows that they are missing since morning because she has already checked 2-3 times since morning. Now a days, it’s getting difficult to find alone time with Virat as he is always busy with Sai or his work or his family, it’s like he has forget that she exists. And how could that be possible, she knows her Virat can’t forget her and loves her too much. So she decided to call him for enjoying tea, though she knows that Sai will come too but it’s okay atleast she will get to see Virat which has not happened since morning or say after dinner. She was going to call him when samrat decided to interrupt her.

“Where are you going patralekha?”. Asked Samrat as he saw her going upstairs.

“Woh mai sai or Virat ko bulane ja rahi thii Samrat. Itna acha mausam hai or sab enjoy kar rhe hai to maine socha unhe bhi bula lu.” Said patralekha which made Samrat suspicious.

“Par patralekha bhabhi , wo log to ghar par hai hi nahi”. Said Karishma. What the hell , thought Pakhi, even Karishma knows where Sai and Virat is and she doesn’t have any idea.How is it possible, this is her insult.

“Tumhe kaise pata woh log ghar par nahin hai. Or Kahan gaye h agar ghar pe nahin hai toh.” Asked Pakhi to which Karishma smirked.

“Sabhi ko pata hai, patralekha bhabhi ki woh dono bahar ghumne gaye hai.” told Karishma and pakhi was shocked how could Virat do this to her. She thought to avenge her insult and Decided to instigate Bhavani against Sai.

“Kya baahar gaye hai. Aise kaise jaa sakte hai wo log yaha hum sab ghar par hai or humesha family ke sath jaate hai or unhe family ki parwaah nahi hai bas akele hi ghumna hai. Mujhe pakka yakeen hai badi mami ye sab sai ka idea hai”. Pakhi tried to instigate whole family.

“Patralekha, tum zyada fikar mat karo . Or ye Sai ka nahi virat ka idea tha or usne hume kal raat hi bata diya tha”.told Samrat to which Bhavani and other members nod.

“Kya or mujhe ye kisi ne batana zaruri nahi samjha”. Said Pakhi and thought if she had known this then she would have also gone with samrat to make virat jealous.

“Kya fark padta hai patralekha , tum zyada chinta mat karo or Virat ne kaha hai ki agli baar hum sab sath me jayenge picnic karne”. Assured Bhavani unaware of the jealousy Pakhi is feeling. And all seemed quite happy with the thought. So she decided to let the matter go otherwise it would be suspicious.

UNKNOWN PLACE/TIME

“Arre koi inhe uthao or yaha se lekar chalo. Inki haalat kharaab lag rahi hai. Hume inhe jald hi vaidji ko dikhana hoga”. Said a man to his associates. They had come to collect woods from forest when they saw a man lying unconscious in middle of a forest. The man’s forehead was bleeding and his clothes were weird , they haven’t seen anyone wearing these types of clothes. But right now his treatment is important, so they picked him up and decided to take him to Santharam’s house, their leader.

“Ghabrane ki aavashyakta nahin hai. Ye abhi swasth hai, girne ke kaaran inke sar par chot aayi hai.Maine lep laga diya hai thodi der mein ye hosh mein aajayenge”. Vaidya ji assured Santhram and his associates to which they sighed in relief.

After Sometime,when the man regained consciousness. And they circled around him.

“Saiii…” Virat woke up screaming which confused Villagers as they didn’t found anyone except him in that area.

Virat looked around and when he did not found Sai he asked the villagers in anger.

“Sai kahan hai? Kahan hai meri biwi? Aur aap log kon hai or mai yahan kaise aaya?” Virat questioned them.

“Dekhiye Bhaisahab hume nahi pata aapki patni kahan hai, aap hume jungle mein mile the, jab hum lakdiyaan lene gaye the. Aap behosh the isiliye hum aapko hamare ghar le aaye or aapke aas paas ya jungle mein koi aur nahin tha. Aap hume akele hi mile the.Par aap hai kon or aapne yeh kaise kapade pehne hue hai? Aap yaha ke bilkul nahin lag rahe hai”. Santhram explained which made Virat shocked and confused at the same time. And he was also worried for Sai. He has to find her at any cost as this place and these people are not only unknown but weird too.

Oh no. Where did Sai go?! I hope Virat finds her. This picnic idea backfired royally on him.

SAMARPUR ,1700

“Aap log kya keh rahe? Aapko mai akela mila tha par mere sath meri patni bhi thi. Sai naam hai uska. Usne pink colour ka kurta pehna hua tha. Ek minute rukiye mai dikhata hu aapko kaisi dikhti hai wo”. Says Virat while trying to take out his phone from his jeans pocket but doesn’t find it.

He thought it fell somewhere in that jungle so these villagers must have picked it.

“Dikhata hun”, asked Ratan one of the villagers and others were seeing Virat in confusion because they were not understanding some of his words.

“Aapko mera phone mila hoga? Zara dijiye please usme meri wife ki photo hai, shayad photo ko dekh ke aap log pehchan le use”. Said Virat which further confused the villagers as they were not understanding his language and behaviour or his sense of dressing or you can say anything about him.

“Waise ye jagah kon si, or kya app mujhe jungle ka raasta bta sakte hai. Mujhe meri wife ko dhundhna hai, pata nahi kis haal mein hogi”. Virat says and his tension was clear in his words. He was really worried for Sai, there could be wild and dangerous animals in that forest and Sai could be in real danger.He has to find her as soon as possible.

“Ye aap kin shabdon ka prayog kar rhe hai? Ye phun or photu kya hota or aap kuch aur bhi keh rahe the? Aur abhi to humne bataya aapko ki jungle mein aapke siwa koi nahi thi”. Santhram told Virat, which further increased his tension.

“Aur yeh Samarpur hai, hamara gaon or hum hai yaha ke mukhiya Santhram.” He told Virat.

Virat has never heard of this place and he is damn sure that it’s not near Nagpur then how come he is here and Sai is missing and he clearly remembers that they went to a house to save themselves from getting drenched then how come he is in a village as far as he can remember there was not a single village in that area. And what was that light. They should have not come for that long drive and should have enjoyed their day as Sai has planned. Oh no he has to find Sai as soon as he can.

UNKNOWN PLACE, 1700

“Pata nahi. Kon hai ye bacchi or is haalat me TaaLaab ke paas kya kar rahi thi”. Said a middle aged woman named Kanta. She had gone to fetch water from village pond where she found a girl in a different style of clothes which were pink in colour. She was unconscious when Kanta found her so she with the help of other ladies of the village who were also there to fetch water took that woman at her home and got her treated from Vaidji.

“Haan pata nahi kaun hai or waha kya kar rahi thi. Bhagwan kare ise jald hi hosh aajaye”. Said Shambhu, husband of Kanta.

“Aah…”, voices come out from Sai’s mouth (yeah that unconscious lady was Sai) which alerted Kanta and Shambhu and they went to her side.

SAMARPUR,1700

“Toh Santhramji kya aap mujhe bata sakte hai ki Nagpur yaha se kitni dur hai?” Asked Virat to which villagers look more confused as they have never heard of this place. “Aur photo yani tasvir or wife matlab biwi or phone kisi se baat karne ke liye istemal kiya jata hai”. Explained Virat thinking they are still unaware of the technology.

“Dekhiye aapne jo kaha hume samajh nahin aaya or Nagpur konsi jagah hai aaj tak humne iska naam nahi suna”. Told Santhram which was making Virat suspicious.

“Where the hell I am”, thought Virat but he asked for water and when they gave him water it was in terracotta glass which was totally weird as far as he is concerned people used steel or glass or plastic utensils even in villages and there may be some villagers still used these things but if this village is near Nagpur then they must have been connected with cities and their lifestyle and even in remote areas some people used technology or atleast a Mobile phone but these people really don’t know what Mobile phone is. While drinking water he finally looks at the structure of house which also looks like of some other times.

“Pagal hai Virat tu bhi kuch bhi sochne lag jata hai, agar sai ki pata chala na to tera bohot mazak udayegi or sunny or samrat bhi”. He laughed thinking about their reaction.okay now he has to find Sai.

“Toh Santhramji kya aap mujhe jungle ka raasta bata sakte hai mujhe apni patni ko dhundhne jaana hai”.Virat asked to Santhram.

“Thik hai ji hum aapko leke chalte hai jungle mein or aap ke sath hi rahenge taki aapki madad kar sake kyunki aap yaha ke nahi lagte toh shayad kahin raasta na bhatak jaaye”.said Santhram while other villagers nods.

They went out of the house and started their journey towards forest when something strange happened, it was strange only for Virat. He saw a group of soldiers wearing the kind of dresses they showed in those historical shows. Heck leave the dresses as far as he is Concerned Indian soldiers don’t roam like this especially in these dresses with spear in their hands.Did he actually time travelled or is he on set of some tv show.So to clear his confusion he asked Santhram about them.

“Oh ye Sultan Qadir shah ke sainik hai bhaisahab, Roz shaam ko aate hai or nigarani karte hai taki daccaiti na ho jaye, Hamare sultan bohot ache hai apni Praja ka dhyaan rakhte hai bohot……” Virat was shocked as soon as he heard of Qadir shah. Did they accidentally reached on a set of a show but this place doesn’t look like a set and there are not any cameras which can prove his theory right so it can only mean one thing and that is.. He may not know about science or time travel or any concept like this but he has definitely read about this certain Sultan and It means, holy shit he actually time travelled to an unknown era and now that house and light, villagers talk, their house and grocery everything is making sense to him and if his historical knowledge is correct and this must be the end of 17th century or beginning of 18th century and then he remembered about dacoits, he has to act fast.

AT SHAMBHU’s HOUSE

“Beta tum thik to ho?” Kanta asked to Sai when she fully gained consciousness and made her drink some water.

“Ji Maushi mai bilkul thik hu. Virat sir kahan hai? Bahar gaye hai kya dawa lene or ye hum yaha kaise aagaye hum to us ghar mein gaye the na or aap kon hai? Ye jagah konsi hai?” Sai asked many questions at one go and kanta and Shambhu were looking at her in shock, what she is talking about they did not found anyone with her and what house, did she lost her brain when she was hit on her head.
