In legal community we have a term for what this government is doing - "procedure as punishment"

You don't need to be guilty to be punished... The entire process is punishment itself... The ncb knows that they will never get a guilty verdict... But by charging him with absurd sections and offences, by uselessly opposing bail, the process of just getting out becomes the punishment bec the courts act so slow and by the book
