Maybe a separation, distance knowing where they stand is needed at this point. There are still things that they both have to work on in their lives. I get the feeling, she has grasped on to what he meant and what he had let her know, when all the old certainties in her life were absent. Her family, right when things were finally becoming better for her. The one for whom she had strived.
They need to step back, and see things from the other side. Maybe she has understood his need for distance now, his need to work out whatever is wrong in his life. I hope so. The same way, he needs to keep aside his hurt where she is concerned and see things from her side. Her life and all the issues which she so valiantly tried to work through. I wonder if he knows about the absence of her family in her life. She knows now what role others have played in how things panned out between them. Has he given it any thought?
This was lovely GN, poignant in a way. In many ways they both are lonely souls, who always tried to handle things by themselves or had to. We don't know what his life was like beyond the wealth and privilege, and maybe at some point she was what he had also grasped on to.
Apt description.😘 She has not told him her feelings for him right ?
(Confirming..completely understand why she has not)
He is pretty clueless about that right?
True that. Regarding one cannot call it love. I appreciated earlier when you clearly stated his physical attraction and not called it love..when he was 14/15. Many writers shy away from that 😘

Ohhhhkyyy, now it's Nishit's turn to be Keerti.! On one side I was like "oh no man please don't do this with that girl", and on the other side it was "let him play some tadpao game for Keerti too the way she did for past 17 years".! It could be felt how painful it must be for Nishit since his school.
Chennai music seems to be interesting turn now and so as the book of Prasanna's.
P.S: was listening this song today, thought to share ❤️
Not tadpao game as such. Or maybe it is. Who knows? He still cannot understand why it is hard to mend things and move on.
I enjoyed the song, Saumya! Thank you!!!

There are a lot of things I want to underline here. But let's talk in the next chapter. ❤️

Kirti took the first step. She reached out to him, apologized, and offered Nishit an olive branch to begin afresh. But he rejected all of it. My first reaction was to give him a tapli and say "Dude!! What is wrong with you?" But I guess, his issues are way more deep rooted than what we have seen so far. He was right in saying he was "obsessed" with how Kirti made him feel. He was not equipped to deal with his feelings then and he is not equipped to deal with them today either. Looks like he has a troubled childhood too. Rimjhim seems to be more invested in Tejas than him (or there's more to the story than just that). If Kirti was insecure during school/college times, so was he. Just like his mother, Kirti had chosen Tejas over him. He had tried to move on and to some extent, he was probably successful too, but that was until Kirti stepped back in his life. Only to leave again. It must have messed with his already troubled head. He has to see a shrink, for crying out loud. It may not be entirely because of Kirti, but she was definitely a contributor to his "insanity" so to speak. If Nishit is being wary, I understand. Wasn't Kirti unresponsive to him when he first met her at the college or when he came to apologize? I think he has trouble accepting the olive branch because maybe he thinks she wants to be friends, while he wants a lot more. That she will never understand what she makes him feel and he is suffering all alone in that hell. I wish Kirti had told him what she had wanted to months ago...that he is not alone in the obsession. Nishit is so focused on the closed door that he is refusing to look at the ones that have been opened for him. I guess he needs some kind of jhatka to get him out of that limbo.
I would understand if Kirti doesn't try again to befriend Nishit, but I wish she doesn't give up. He did confess about his obsession for her and that he is not completely over whatever they shared. She should focus on that. Understand "why" he wants to move on. She has known Nishit long enough to figure out that his words don't reflect his true sentiments. To find the pearl, you would have to dive deeper, Kirti.
So Mithila is not in talking terms with Nishit and she is his friend's sister. I wonder what went wrong between the two. I guess the fiasco, Kirti's rejection and everything else finally took a toll on him, and he pushed away everyone who were once close to him.
Dinner with Urmi! That was interesting. I like the fact that Nishit sees Urmi as the person she is and not the reputation she comes with. She is definitely obnoxious at times, but I have a feeling her attitude towards him must have changed after she saw the pics at his place.
Music school ka kya chakkar hain? Does he really want to learn, or is it another self-imposed exile?
P.S. - Prasanna's book is interesting - "To everyone who has loved and lost. And found again". I see hope there!
There were so many things you pointed out that I resonated with. About the jhatka. I hope he gets that soon. Because I don't really have too many chapters to accommodate his sulking. I hope he doesn't read this. Or he would be like Et Tu? I thought you knew me better, writer.

No, and it would be a mistake don't you think? I think this was her sort of trying to get back to the default position they had. Maybe friends. So they could explore whatever they have between them. He is clueless, I think they both have not been able to read the other. Everything has been in their heads😆 not helped by others too.
Looks like Nishit just wants to get away from everyone right now. He needs the space. Kirti is moving ahead professionally. Both going separate ways for now.

I absolutely agree. At that age it is what it is, physical attraction, a stage when you first start becoming aware of the opposite sex. And also your own body in a way.
Is Prasanna projecting her own disability in the fictional lead? Does she have an unrequited love of her own?
