Ani has been around court enough to know that PP ke jaise questions aayenge, and what he did not want was Tapur having to face such questions before she was ready. And about hiding from Bon, Ani knows Bon better than anyone else, he knew that the moment Bon knew, she would try her best to get Tapur to testify, but in her desperation to save Ani, she inadvertently put forward today's situation, where Tapur had to face questions SHE was not prepared for, causing damage to her mental health.
