Which is surprising..coz when I heard his mother tongue.. or even his pahadi songs..many words were similar to Gujarati

Well true. But somebody needs to tell him how to pronounce Vaishnav, jaane, aane. Vaishnav is different in Gujarati than in Hindi, Jaane and Aane are the ण rather than न. Either he needs to get time to hear it properly and practice or he needs to be told.

There was apparently some pressure or willingness on the part of Sony to highlight the contestant. Pressure on such a small thing like a talent contest does not have to be evident to all. Only one very high ranking threat-delivery-capable person's involvement is enough. And end of the day the opposition is also at risk for openly not supporting sons/daughters of the soil. It can boomerang badly.

Why I say Sony is because TCT does not control edits. It does not control footage and who sings when, and is shown on stage for how long. Plus TCT does not control Sony's IG handle. many other small things that we saw like not showing Lata's gift. HR's promotion (TCT can't tell HR to promote, Sony can) etc.

Sony was under pressure or the contestant was thought to be deserving (by Sony) but not getting support. You can decide what was more likely because everything else is speculation.
