About the song itself - I always felt Sayli is decently skilled but her voice is not to my liking. And sometimes she sounds downright creepy like a horror movie soundtrack.

Someone was not using fresh mints 🤣

If it was actual live recording to save money then two channel recording may have been necessary as Sayli needs volume support in my opinion. There may also be scale control necessities.

But I am sure these are dummy shots. The recording was done independently. So mints were where HR saved money.

The other 2 may be naturally better balanced and may not have scale issues.

Sorry guys, apologies. I have misled you. I just got a message that the reason two mikes were used was to honour Kalkar's special request. Apparently he requested HR on the sets of SRGMPA to provide 2 mikes at some Dhawal's insistence. Do you guys know who this Dhawal is? I mean for Kalkar to make special request.....

"Vaishnav jan toh" by PD at today's India Today function. He did a better job of his Bangla and Marathi pronunciations than he has been able to manage for Gujarati in this song. Either he didn't have enough time to prepare or he didn't get the right guidance.
