You are absolutely correct.

It does happen in real life that sons who hate their fathers for abusing/disrespecting their mother end up behaving the exact same way with their own wife.

Ashwini's values have ultimately got defeated- it has just takem the form of self-righteousness..... at the core only Ninad remains. I feel bad for Ashwini - having given up on her husband, her only hope was her son. She is in dlenial ...when she comes out of that denial, she will be devastated.

Ofcourse it's got nothing to do with genes.....it's what a child had been taught from a young age.

Ashwini's character in the OG was much more assertive. She was very good at acting indignant. She gave her piece of mind to her son repeatedly from what I understand.

I mean it's a common saying ki genes ka kamaal hai, genes (Hindi: khoon) ne asar dikhaaya, I don't mean the title literally. What you see is how you behave and have reasons ready if someone questions your behaviour.

Again it's the power dynamics... Father is the head of the house, is more powerful in this patriarchal society (mostly), his behaviour and words affect the child (male) more. He takes it as the right way to survive in the society. In the show, Ashwini is not taken seriously by anyone, except maybe Sai or Devi, happens with women of the house in maximum households.

You are right, she tried to build values on the foundation laid by principles of Ninad, inbuilt by observing his behaviour. Also, Ninad in earlier episodes is shown to be a righteous army officer, who in guilt left army. This might be the reason for his professional achievements but personal life disasters.

In this track she screamed at him when he denied to look for her and did not even console or look at him when Imon was at her death bed.

Virat is the perfect example of male chauvinist.. This is how he has been brought up by his both parents..He expects Sai to become like his mother.. And his mother never protested his father's wrong doings so he wants Sai to follow this.. Ashwini was never a mother to Sai but she always has been good mother in law who wanted her son's happiness...

This is where Sai's boldness and independent nature frustrates him. Both Sai and Ashwini are from a poor background with no proper support from Maayka (Sai has no one). Till the time, they are on good terms, he admires her qualities but when she starts questioning his rights on her, is when the hell breaks lose.

Ashwini raised him with the Raja beta syndrome, which is practiced in almost all houses.

Yes. A child learns from his parents. Consciously or sub consciously they follow same patterns of behavior. Virat is so much like his family, that's why he thinks their taunts to sai is their "pyar and izzat" . I wish ashwini had the guts to leave this toxic environment and give the right message that respect is much above love.

Just loving someone is not enuf , respecting them is equally important .

Oh yes!! Apart from a few households, everywhere there are different rules for sons and daughters. Girls have forever been expected to do anything and everything to save their marriage. Boys are given too much leeway. In a household like Chavans with Ashwini-Ninad as parents, the daughter would have turned into another Ashwini.
