I have never from the beginning expected any better actress from the actor playing patralekha..All her scenes, the poignant ones have been a disappointment. But yes I had a lot of expectations from the ML, infact I also let go some of his short falls, OTT performances in the beginning , but right now I need to say that he has failed to convey the feelings of Virat and if he is conveying properly and being a good actor, who has understood Virat clearly, then Virat is certainly more inclined towards Patralekha than anyone else...Not even his brother who he calls his Jeeva..

The man knows the intentions of Patralekha, not now, probably since the time she participated in throwing out Sai knowing clearly about Sai's truth, Devi's truth and Devkit's truth, in form of Harini.. He has further seen her attempts of not only maligning Sai but also comparing herself with her..

He has also seen her harassing and abusing Sai and also insulting her at her parents place..He has also seen her hatred for Sai on Sai's birthday..He clearly knows, everytime Sai and him took a step towards each other she wanted to leave...He has also gone ahead an apologise for celebrating his wife's birthday to Patralekha, infront of the family... He has seen her hatred for Sai, when she went on to send a guy to Sai's room purposely and then him, to instigate him against her...He has seen her firing the taunts against Sai.. He has seen her hatred for Sai in the last cafe meet they had...She went on to call Sai the "shani" in her life..and much much more..

Moreover he has seen how she wanted to disregard not just her marriage but the love of the entire family to be with the way he wants, to be 'kept' with him the way he wants.. Divorce from Sai not needed , if he wants...

He has her mistreating his Aai, and also calling his sister an outsider..He has seen her triggering his mentally unstable sister...He kept quite all this while, in the name of What I am not sure...

However after all this when she speaks about having good intentions towards Sai, towards everybody in the house and is questioned by her own husband, Virat looks at his brother in ire, in disbelief, in confusion. He gets surprised at his accusations.. This surprise was not seen when Sai was being called selfish, knowing very well the same woman wanted to give up the jewelleries given to her by her Aaba, the same sister who he accused Sai for using... He has prioritised every relationship over Patralekha today....Sai was was taken over long time back...Its these relationships that have been left behind now...Him being shocked at the accusations on her establishes that he believes in her words and her intents even after being angry and disgusted at her, while questions everything that Sai has done wrong forgetting her selflessness, throughout.

So yes if NB is performing to the Tee...this is what is coming across and if not please work on your craft, take the criticism as well, instead of just putting up the stories about good performances...Come out of the lala land...This show will go , but it should not take away the good actor in you, because of what so ever reasons... And yes I am no one to tell that to him, but yet a fan...or rather a once upon a time fan of your acting skills...

V and P are ghum in each other's pyaar par likh na paaye vo ek doosre ka naam due to society pressure, is what is being conveyed.

Either he is not pleased keeping that long face or sangat ka asaar..

Def sangat ka asar. I can't say that the makers don't know how pakhi and virat come across. Bec the way sai, devi, ashwini, shivani etc point out to them, , it's very accurate .

Then how can they make virat SO dense purposely? To pull him down to create a forceful rift or it's just bad acting ?🤢 I think it's both . They may be thinking that if virat acts sane , sai and virat won't fight , patralekha won't have a topic to argue upon , patralekhas tactics won't be working, sai will not act irrational and family won't get to taunt her etc etc .

Personally I'm giving benefit to NB in this track. We were all in shock at how Virat turned out.

So it must have been confusing to be told of a sudden change in the character he has tried his best to understand so far. It is not possible to connect the earlier version that you have developed in your head to a version that has all but turned into Ninad. It must as well be frustrating to see a character he has invested in suddenly take an entirely different turn.And in addition, being a daily soap there is no time to pause and try to adjust to the change.

I'm myself on the fence - if there are any nuances to be conveyed here at all. Or of the nuances are being missed. Afterall, in his actions, in his words....he has been so horrible....i don't know if he can have any honest emotions and maybe any emotions conveyed can look duplicitous.

I've often seen TV actors getting bored when the characterization turns ridiculous - talent is not really going to come handy in ITV daily soaps after a certain point. I guess actors feel creatively unsatisfied. Good decision by my favourite actor to leave a show in the height of popularity and venture into more interesting projects. Bold but smart move.

As for general attitude of actors, it is important for actors to accept the negatives and positives one is going to play. Unrealistic expectations will curb their growth as an actor.

I have given up... the recent one he shared is a Virakhi pic though offscreen.. So there is no point. But the way things are being seen onscreen is what I have written in my post.

My issues have been with the expressions he gives when patralekha is accused of the right things, not by just Sai but everyone else in the room... How can it not be clear to an actor who has been in the industry for such a long time and who has been given dialogues like those, scenes like those as far as Patralekha is concerned....

That guy cannot be compared...here...one of the most hateful character on paper and yet played so convincingly that you fell in love with the character.. Khair choro , people will again report in the name of I dont know what...You might as well edit that part and call it one of my fav actor

I would have said I would throw Pakhi out if I had been his place,but he himself is making so many mistakes each day that just blaming her is not right

@bold Are you talking about him acting clueless or ignorant or protective? I can't believe Virat can be this dumb....and the actor might have had the same doubt. He knows of everything that Pakhi has done and yet doesn't connect the dots .....can anyone be this clueless? Makes no logical sense.

As far as my favourite actor is concerned - that character was written so beautifully and so so consistently. Even in his monstrous phase, the essence of his character - his anger, his trust issues , his honesty and immense care for his sister remained supremely consistent. He just became a mellowed version later on - the consistency was amazing. I recall an article in which he had complimented the script ...that half his work was done by the detailed script. And he was never vile...

As much as I like my favourite actor better, Virat is much more difficult to play. Virat started off as a perfect man to turn into a grey character, to a complicated man ...to this selfish, shallow version ....all within a span of a year. Even keeping in mind that the Virat's flaws were being revealed slowly - I generally find it to be very poorly written character. I would not say NB is a very grear actor. Would another actor have grasped this better.... definitely possible. NB is a good actor - maybe he needed help in this one - either in terms of better script or better help from the director.

Yes for instance today, when Samrat and Pakhi are talking and Samrat questions her intentions towards Sai, he looked shocked and bothered...He did not like it..Or that is what I saw of it...

I am not sure which character is difficult to play... But the former one never failed and yes it was the writing behind the character, of course, the actor himself always gave credit to the writing and direction....the second one has failed in terms of eveything...be it writing , direction and recently acting....

Like I mentioned if what he has been expressing recently, in terms of not just words but also expressions, reactions, aptly...then going by that Pakhi , her respect, her status and her image in the house precedes, everyone in the house, his Aai's , his Taai's, his Jeeva..Not counting Sai here, because she was preceded way back... Either way its failing...character or actor.. Kisi ek ki toh haar hi hai...
