But why are people hating on the terrace scene?

I think it was much needed and both of them need some sort of private space to talk for last time. They both needed that closer. So tejo was doing exactly that ending that chapter from her life.

I agree.. people are mad at Tejo calling him her friend. Imo she was seeking a closure.. that’s how their relationship started, friend so she said it.. it’s a conflict of emotions.. I think she’s saying after this divorce, whatever they had has ended.. friend/no friend doesn’t matter.

Point being probably why she took off her mangal sutra after the court session even if court decided to give them some time.. she has emotionally detached herself from F so all these don’t matter any more..
