You are right. At Octopus launch event Pawandeep told that SMP recorded a song for HR. But I came to know later it's not true. I think PD just assumed as all others were recording.

Well if he assumed it why would he say on record..and SMP would correct him if wrong.

Listen at 17:36 in the video. If I understood correctly that's what PD said. I don't know why SMP didn't correct him, may be as it was a press meet she just didn't want to drag it.

In other SRGMP related news, the new kid on show is Akansha Rao, a girl who dresses like a boy and was unable to make the final cut of Superstar Singer. Sachin was a Superstar Guru in that inaugural season. We will have a lot of fun this year figuring out how many contestants where mentored by Sachin in some show or the other 😃

But all Zee Saregamapa pay structures are not the same.

Zee Bangla has a system of cash reward for best performers of the day. It is a small amount and often that too is shared by multiple winners. Plus they can get a sponsor to pay a small amount to top 10-15 as scholarship (stipend) for a year or 2.

Can't remember if SRGMPA national has cash prizes for performers of the day.
