Why no divorce?

I am not a regular viewer so I don't know.. Why is Sai not divorcing Virat? She is anyway ready to leave him for his happiness (or her mental peace). Why not make it official? Why this chori chori chupke chupke jaana ?

Is she scared that Aai would emotionally blackmail her to not break the relationship? That is possible.

But wouldn't Aai understand that Virat is downright abusive?

Rest of the chavan nivas would feel relieved that she left.

Because this story is set in 17th century Nagpur...

And divorces were unheard of back then....

Sai is not scared of anyone as she only do what she likes to do , if things go against her will she gets her way out.

I saw the precap after reading your reply... What the hell? What does she mean that " No matter how much they fight.. they still can not leave without each other"

Hmmm.. I guess She never Liked Sai as her own daughter but always saw her as a daughter-in-law

On an other note, Why doesn't she divorce her husband and live with Sai. Why does ITV show only their husband's EMA as the only reason women want divorce **cough cough** Anupama** Ek nayi pehchaan***Cough Cough**

Aai has never got love even on their good days..Virat toh gifts lakar pamper kar deta hai na...By that definition Aai ka godu bahut pyaar karta hai Sai se...Haan kabhi kabhi haadth madodna, ghar se baahar nikalana , khana na dena aur room mei band karta hai...But other days he makes sure he is giving him diamong rings, ruby pendant, grand birthday parties and also trips... Isse jyada kya chaiye...And a woman has to bear the bad days of her marriage right?

I believe that's because her lack of experience and impulsiveness. Being a 19-year old who was till now dependent on Virat for her bank transactions, that her bank ATM card was with him, taking a big step like divorce is tough, with no one by her side.

The family she has after Aaba left, is Virat's family, family members who support her are Virat's mother, his brother, his sister, his aunt. So if they have to choose one of both, probably they will choose Virat, they would try their best at the reconciliation of their relationship.

Arranging for lawyer, going through divorce proceedings will be tough for a college student alone, given that not many friends are shown on the show. Ajinkya was shown as a helpful one, ACP threw him away too.

True... What she needs now is a mentor figure who is not related to chavans in any way to give her unbiased advice.

Reading your reply, I had to thank god that this is just fiction, It is such a pitiful situation a 19 year old have to go through.

It's heartbreaking so see her all alone. She does everything for everyone but there is not a single person to take a strong stand for her. 'Team Sai' in the show had just one strong member, Sai herself, others are just her followers.

They introduced Pulkit as her mentor but he is also related to Virat, always hell bent at showing Virat's love and his side of picture, never understanding her, always asking her 'Sai ab hum kya karenge'.

Ashwini is a good mother in law to sai but she is good mother to her Godu. And she knows if sai goes away her godu will be unhappy. She tries her best to make sai adjust and make virat happy. She have scolded him but it's not enough. Remember during 1st accident even though she gave it to virat but when she saw sai she was like virat is truly repenting and blah blah so I have no hope from her. If sai had any support system I'm sure she would have divorced him by now but unfortunately she doesn't have any. And even if she appiles the IPS officer is such manipulator that he will put all the blame on sai. I truly wish Sai to divorce him and go away to lead a happy life
