Maybe slightly off topic but does anyone think that Pallavi's character started off with a darker skin tone than what she has at present? It seems quite obvious if you look at the initial episodes. What's up with that? Is it necessary to make the lead eventually fair-skinned?
No hate here, just something I've observed in many ITV shows and I don't understand why it's done.
Shivangi’s natural skin tone is what we see now. The make up earlier consisted more of browns. Maybe that was to show her as a widow who doesn’t wear make up often? Idk. I think it also has something to do with some filters they were using, to make the show look more…rugged?
But make up artists haven’t been so good early in the show. Hyd track was the worst. (The hairstyles too) I have complained a lot about it.😆 They are definitely a lot better now. And I hope it continues that way.
I don’t think it has anything to do with making the lead seem fair.
