Today was just about raw pain..Sai's pain, Aai's pain, Devi Tai's pain. There's a screaming howl waiting to be let out to the Universe from these women. It will come. (I don't know when, because right now it's like a chewing gum married an elastic band and gave birth without an epidural to these episodes of Ghum).

Aai acknowledged today that her son is following in his father's footsteps. Unfortunately she has done nothing about it. She promised she wouldn't let what happened to her happen to Sai, and yet that's exactly what's going on here.

Devi Tai was hurt by her brother today. But she'll give it back to him at the right moment. She has said her piece and he has not listened. That's all that matters. (Btw, Mitali's comeback seems to have Ts & Cs attached. She's gotten a lot of screen space recently and she's great to watch- good for her!)

Sai's saying good bye to every member of the Chavan freak show. At this rate I don't know when tomorrow will come. 'Cos we're still waiting for didi to invite Sai to Mahabaleshwar. Actually her best vacation spot is right next door...Virat's bedroom. She can just honeymoon wearing pink right there 🙄.

I wanted to reply earlier. Loved your post. I hadn't been watching the show since the last 2-3 days. But your post got me interested in watching today's episode.

I watched it....and I actually liked the episode except for the part where Virat is unconcerned about Devyani.

Now that Virat is established as a cheating, egoistic, abusive man there is nothing to surprise us about his behaviour and no futile expectations. We can observe the lives of these three women with empathy - the trials they have faced amidst a patriarchal and controlling household that has slowly sucked their self-worth and made them powerless. And it was good to explore this - Ashwini, Devyani and Sai the three victims.

Devyani rendered mentally incapacitated for daring to love someone from lower station. Ashwini is a disappointed wife - putting all her hopes in her son. But tragedy is that while she has tried to instill her values in Virat, Ninad has ultimately found his way in her son's core character. She is still in denial about it.....but it's the harsh truth.

There is a confusion within Sai. While Sai's instinct is angered at her husband's abuse and wary of Virat's cheating ways, her idealistic views and her naivete is ascribing far more noble reasons for Virat's behaviour than he deserves. This is what will make her fall at a chance of a relationship with him. But how cruelly she will be mistaken - her husband's cheating will continue even after their marriage becomes formal.

But unlike Ashwini and Devyani, Sai will rise even from this seemingly inescapable pain and heart break. So from now onwards I'll always see this show as a story about Sai Joshi - a young girl who faced tragedy at a young age, got fooled into thinking she married the right guy...only to discover his worthlessness as a husband. She will be hurt, pained but she'll not compromise with her dignity. Her strength and courage will sustain her.❤️

She has been made to feel that she is so much troublesome to live with , so frustrating to live with that she has convinced herself that he is tired of her.. Thats what you do to the woman so young and nobody to tell her otherwise.. Constantly on and on about where and what is wrong with her...Every time she falters...call her selfish , arrogant, khudgarz...call out her Aaba's upbringing...call out his love for her...

Poor girl will give in because she has no one in the world..

And her so called lover husband will continue to show negligence towards their marriage..

I really don't know why she has to fall for this man who lacks basic humanity

Its so sad to watch her like this. When she said he must be "tang" with me it was SO sad to see... basically shes been made to feel like she deserves no love and that she is the one thats problematic....

Its incredibly sad to watch virat care 2 hoots even for devi. Its utterly meaningless to have him start by apologizing for his behavior - only to eventually have him hurt devi again and reprimand devi for saying the correct things to pp. Pp interrupted and interfered in his conversation with devi. She showed up in between n started giving her unecessary opinions. Pp calls the daughter of this family as a nobody n says she has no rights to speak about CN family. Yet instead of asking pp to shut up and leave he has reprimanded Devi. And he wonders why Sai doesn't believe him when he claims to be only "friends" with pp and rakes up pp over n over. Because as a viewer even I dont believe he really loves Sai either. His actions have diluted all the love we used to see from Virat for Sai. Love isnt just about his behavior in good times, its about how he behaves when they are not on good terms too....the way the makers have potrayed virat, it looks like he had a rebound affection for Sai and now hes over it. This isnt love .and If Virat cant get past his emotional connect for his vahini/bff/ex then he should have the guts to own up to that rather than lie about it and abuse and hurt everyone else around him.

This version of Virat is a spineless coward. He allowed pp to speak in a derogatory way to his sister wbo is recovering from mental illness. Clearly he is so self absorbed that he cares 2 hoots about right vs wrong.

yeah its all about getting Sai in the ways of the world...Once he has that...He will not really care much about her...If he craves her..he will get her...If she does and he is not available...then she can go to hell..

Couldn't agree more...

Bold : Vanker is copying line by line from KD.. In this particular scene UM is supposed to be here instead of devi Tai ..Rono too blasted UM in KD..

But how that fits in this scenario?? He is being rude to his mentality ill sister where as Rono blasted UM who was a care taker of Emon.. Not that I support any of the actions..

They are copy pasting that's fine but it looks quite disjointed with the characters and the story..

You can watch the show. It's not unwatchable...in fact it's good even if tough to watch. The emotional bits are well done and obviously the vedi Vahini bits are vile..but still it evokes a reaction which means it's working at the level it's supposed to - which is to evoke disgust.

It would be good to tell the story as the story of Sai and how she overcomes the odds to make her life what she wants it to be. The love story is pointless after this. At least I can't ship that. That is the idea of love that's shoved down the throats of girls all the time - that men will be men and women must love them despite the shit they will throw at them from time to time. I have seen women put up with that in my own circle but it's soul destroying and comes at a steep price.
