Don't worry much, I hope there's more to it than this. Adi would accept his fate but will never accept it as imlie's fate. Especially when her studies are involved. He has to work on this and fix it asap. I guess kidnap will be the catalyst. He might've given up for a while in the precap but Imlie's NDE should do the job.

If nothing happens even after that, I'll lose all hope.

Very logical point but logic is not supported in Imlie. It’s Viswas. No one knows how science is defied.
