actually no matter what, shahzaib proved that he was always a great son. Every single time he stayed in his limits and spoke to his mom. Always cried and pleaded. And every time some tamasha took place he only confronted her. But never did anything beyond that. After first shaadi tamasha also he changed his mind about her and gave her that mumma mumma wala darja. He did youthe same thing now. Isnpite of everytjing he came back all happy to her. How did he mange to do that. Poor him!
Absolutely.
After his father's death he literally handled everything, never forced his brother to work or go to office, never bothered about his mother's dominating way.
This is what I'd written after the Pilot, you'll find it in the first thread:
"Now coming to the hero itself, the man I've waited to watch on screen for months, Danish as Shahzeb. He is the quintessential son, the kind of boy every parent would want and the kind of man women would dream about. Shahzeb has everything under control, his business, workout regimen, even working non-stop without demanding any contribution from his lazy brother and handling his very dominating mother. So of course, the only thing he would want in life would be to marry the woman he loves. His family does seem highly dysfunctional, but Shahzeb keeps himself together, otherwise, everything would fall apart. "
Shahzaib was not an evil guy, he was driven by circumstances, but even after that he tried to pull everything back together. For a man surrounded by such toxicity all his life, it was a miracle he turned out the way he did.
But this second mumma wala darja...I have a feeling Isra had something to do with it, and not just Shahzaib. She had experienced the cold treatment from her family, esp her mom so she could very well understand what the role reversal would be like.
Plus the makers had to put in the message that parents should respect their children's likes and dislikes. Isra's family had even said this...Shahzaib's was remaining.
