How are they going to recoup all the money they are spending on five star hotels, business class flights, and so on? There must be a record label or something bigger behind this - it can't just be 20 songs that they film and hope that the revenue share they get from streaming platforms makes up for the cost.

Sony has created an image of Arunita being a little slow to understand things. They ran that video in one episode where PD said so. Of course, the whole video lacked spontaneity and looked rather scripted - especially the part where Ashish ostensibly cracks a joke which she doesn't understand.

In subsequent interviews, Danish has used the word "dumb" at least once to describe Arunita and likewise Neeraj Kalkar has used the word "buddhu" in at least one interview. At that time, I had felt that both of these were probably just errors. I thought maybe Danish doesn't know the full import of the word, believing the Sony story that he comes from a relatively smaller city. And I thought for Neeraj Kalkar that maybe it was a genuine error.

Now I wonder whether that choice of words was intentional because something was already brewing at the back.

Pawan also mentioned in that same clip that she isn't slow in picking up anything related to music..wo aise pakad leti hai gaane ko..said something like this.

Neeraj Sir also said in the same vein..ki wo kho jaati hai kahin..which isn't strange considering she is a teenager and n artist.

Nihal bhi to thoda aisa hi hai. Imagine two such people being together ..dono bhulakkad ho to ghar kaise chalega😉

She appears to be well focused when giving interviews. Never spills any beans or misses a question. Her Bengali interviews are very confident and to the point. Maybe she is still struggling with Hindi vocabulary!

My impression is she is intelligent enough but is lost in her own world most of the time. Something that people who know her well allude to.

BTW, Anoushka Banerjee (AB), no friend of hers, once said that Arunita is No. 1 "Tubelight" in the group, AB being herself No 2.

Ur impression is true..and that's what all of them meant while talking about Aru..just that they share personal equations and so spoke in that manner instead of formal and professional...and we overanalyzed.

Anushka had some really nice words ro say about Aru in her latest interviews..and I believe they r friends. I know u don't like filmy khichdi but can watch for this

In my experience people rarely, in public pronouncements, will actually call a mad or dumb person as such if they think that is really the case. That is too insulting and is not expected from uber civil persons like Danish or Neeraj.

This dumb, buddhu, bit is from deep familiarity and comfort with a hint of love thrown in. I don't give it any serious thought. Like them or not, I am certain they did not mean it to be derogatory. But it highlights a trait in her character that can make her appealing to the over protective. If you read the comments on her forgetful video you will notice that it overall spawned love not derision.

Some basic patch up happened during the Finale shoot, it is true. But the claws are just sheathed back for the time. Arunita is fairly terrible at making friends I feel. And Anushka is very competitive. Bad mix. But AB is smarter by far and with Aru not winning she kind of let it go. Behen behen vibes I feel.
