The reason I can enjoy the show to date barring a few crass episodes, is that I view Shivi from a fictional lens.

I am not sure if you've watched She’ by Imtiaz Ali. It's fiction, but the dynamics between Sasya and the lead girl is so palpable.

The challenge here in PS is that consumers don't understand the difference between reality and fiction, and thus, it's more their responsibility to show better.

Dramas drive the TRP crowd more as compared to systematic dialogues. Sad!

There are many joint families I have seen who have similar common aspects with PS. Sad reality again.

Agreed this is a fictional show. That is why I am sort of taking a break- this is really throwing me off 😆 I have never really had so much deep rooted support or hatred for any character before(well not in ITV- probably foreign TV and book characters) I want to cleanse my pallete a bit 🤣

I am so sorely disappointed in Suman- they have made it a run of the mill Saas bahu show. 😐 Though can I say it is actually realistic 🤣 In India, in my grandparents/parents generation are very weary of keeping maids and nurses. Both my maiden and in laws home have old grandparents who direly need full time nurses, but our parents are so prejudiced against the idea of outside help. They would rather suffer and push their limits 😐

I get where you are coming from, but Shiva has always had a special connection with Dhara! He was always like this around her. In fact, in the first scene itself, when Dhara was running 🏃 towards Gaumbi and the kite, we see a parallel of Shiva running towards her. Gautam has mentioned many times how only Dhara can control Shiva even before they got married.

The show always had Shiva hovering around her from childhood.

He must get the maximum time around Shiva. Like the Shivi universe, the Shira universe exists too. 😆

I get angsty and angry too, when she interferes in Shivi, but I love their solo scenes. The way he feels for her is so pure. The unfair Haq of Dhara on Shiva, and this insane dedication of Shiva towards her is mind-boggling. They remind me of Hamlet-Gertrude/Haider-Ghazala a lot!

I know we aren't on the same page but do watch their scenes in silos! There's something magical about them

I am keen to hear your thoughts more. 🤗

That is the biggest thing that bothers me, tone down his anger, stop them from having toxic verbal exchanges and have them communicate! Would have been so lovely to watch, had they avoided these things!

Absolutely not Kathir is probably the reason why I still continue to be partial to Shiva despite his misbehavior. Kathir is the ideal and Shiva is the diluted version unfortunately.

Kathir never manhandled anyone or lost his dignity in anger. The way the actor dresses in the show- he is not conventionally good looking or attractive, but the character will bowl you over with time, and you actually start looking betond looks and become extremely fond of the character. That was the power of the OG
