My personal opinion is that Raavi has generally been collateral damage (up until the current track) where Shiva is concerned.

I resonated with him because I also get supremely pissed and get curt with people who barge into my safe space(my home or room), especially at a time I do not want to entertain them 🤷♀️
The kangan kaand was also pretty interesting, because while in absolute terms what he did to Raavi was wrong- but he had no other leverage over Maami and he had to do what he had to do. I understood where he came from.
My problem with Shiva has been since the Mandir episode, where he has devolved beyond recognition 😐

Abuse is abuse whether physical, mental or emotional! Done by parent, spouse or outsider!! It is wrong and should be condemned!
That is the biggest thing that bothers me, tone down his anger, stop them from having toxic verbal exchanges and have them communicate! Would have been so lovely to watch, had they avoided these things!
I also found Raavi too loud and annoying pre-wedding!
I also got why Shiva disliked her, but I would’ve preferred if he ignored her or let her be, rather than manhandle her, aggressively drag her out or threaten her with knives!
The visual aggressiveness overpowered the overbearing, from a viewing POV, atleast for me!

Kaangan kaand seemed to me to be patriarchal — thinking he has some authority over her— disliked it and coupled with the threat of suicide I didn’t like either of them in it and couldn’t care less about the shitshow it was!

P.s: since i haven’t watched: was shiva in OG ever physically aggressive with raavi like here? Or verbally toxic?

I like what they were, are or have become. It's senseless, but it's their world. The journey towards each other has multiple barriers-mental, physical and emotional. They are in different planes, and rightfully so.

Completely incompatible couple! They should try to solve out by conversations or part ways.

They bring contrast, dynamism and momentum because of such a huge divide amongst the two.

Being not comfortable with an outsider or relative is fine Sri...self imposing is irritating..but that doesn't justify attacking back...being curt towards them..ignoring them..taunting them..refusing to help them.. or having anything to do with them is fine.. and normal..but shiva was way more than that..he threw tomatoes on her just becz she entered his house..who does that.?..showing knives?..twisting arms?..ruining the mehendi of the bride..it was all a bit too much from his side if all his reason was she was mamis relative and self imposing to his family...in real, we dnt do that to our enemies even..and all this mannerless behaviour was only towards ravi..and to mami too...he behaved better with anitha even.. atleast no physically attacking..

yes ravi was the best leverage he could use to a patriarchal family.. jeopardise the future of a daughters married life and her parents will have to accept whatever the groom demands.. now..is that right?..is that acceptable under any circumstances?.I remember when this episode aired, in kerala , there was a tragic incident that happened which were the topic in every news channel.. a wife committed suicide after 1 year of marrg..all her chats and photos she shared with her mother were released.. the reason for suicide was her husband used to beat her , keep her outside house when angry , all for not giving a better more expensive car as dowry..while her parents had given him 10lakh car and 1 acres of land..and she herself was a student of bachelors in ayurveda medicine...she was constantly taunted before that too.. she had been sent back to her maternel home..her father was against her getting back to her husband sensing the danger.. but her mother kept on pushing her to tolerate becz of the patruatchial thinking..the same month and next month other two cases of dowry related suicide happened..what I want to say is..shiva is not somebody who physically harasses his wife for money..but jeopardising a human in a sensitive relation like marriage for any personal need is not ok..it might not be dowry he asked..but it was his personal need..if gombi had done this to dhara would shiva support it?..no right.. then how could he do that himself..

It's my opinion..I dnt mean to offend anyone..but I feel shiva has many flaws and it needs to be accepted just like ravi too has many of her own..her jumping to judgements regarding shiva is very wrong.. during the kidnapping kaandh, I understand her anger..but why couldn't she ask him before accusing him..ok..their relationship was not that much into conversation is necessary kind..it was just a day after the marrg..but after every other members of the family told her he must have had his reasons for leaving her..he will never risk her life..she could atkeast give him the benefit of doubt..but she didn't care.. it was easy for her to blame him and punish him for everything wrong that has happened to her than deal with the wrong doers directly.. ..she took all her anger for dhara and dev on him..post marrg, ravi was as bad as pre marrg shiva according to me..
And both of them changed after the muktheshwar kaandh..she started respecting him..he started having feelings for her too..kangan kaandh happened.. I hated it..but I choose to ignore it now as his childishness..just like ravi forgiving him in a moment just seeing that he had another kangan brought for Mami in xchange..🤪..both are too stupid to understand the gravity of their karkoothein..
Ps..sorry for the long rant😆.but I can't believe the makers made their characters so flawed and I really want some explanation to their behaviour...hence I myself assumed it could be something like jealousy and misinterpreted feelings ..becz jealousy makes people become stupid..😆

That's what I said yesterday..he acts like a typical Gopi Bahu in front of his family and outsiders..the moment Raavi is in his vicinity, Junglee mode activates🤢He had that sad, bechara look on his face for the entire episode..just when Raavi makes an entry in the episode he conviniently lost all his senses and then becomes Somnath Ka Sasta Gunda
