I watched the scene too after seeing discussions on MF and twitter and imo itna bura bhi nahi tha . It was disgusting no doubt but not to the level people are making it seem.
Also should watch it for SK's brilliant portrayal of fear , helplessness and disgust through her eyes and minimal dialogues.

In real life people do evolve for good. I've seen people in tt & insta from being insensitive to the most sensible one. Those journey are heart warming.
