Feeling very disheartened for Pallavi, DT Note pge 23 - Page 3

Edited my post bc I went ranting about CVs mistakes & what I wanted to see instead of focusing on the real issue of victim blaming - my bad. I realized this isn't the place for that.

I am so tired of everyone equating her shock & fear as consent or enjoyment. No people. She was scared.

The victim blaming has to stop. Criticize CVs for doing this to her to glorify ML, and think about what you would have wanted Pallavi to do, but don't blame her for what's happening to her.

Just bc we don't like what happened, we think we would have reacted differently, does not give us the right to blame Pallavi for the lines MANDAR is crossing. HE'S the one doing that TO her. None of this behavior is brought upon by Pallavi herself. She said no. He didn't listen. That's on HIM.

Being paralyzed in fear is a real thing & that doesn't mean she likes what is happening to her. That doesn't mean there isn't every single bone in her body wanting to fight Mandar off. We may not have seen her fighting him off, but don't think for a second Pallavi took any of that behavior willingly. Just because someone is unable to do something to their abuser, does not mean they invited, wanted, appreciated, asked for, or enjoyed what was being done to them.

Everyone who thinks otherwise, or thinks that she has some part to play in her own harassment needs to take a course on consent.

No her death won't do either..

Raghav will be shattered or even go mad and ppl will rant why she had to die and leave Raghav alone

It's not Pallavi, it's the writers who sketch her character, which has gone down the drain.

2-3 weeks back, the makers tried to show Pallavi's farz etc, that time fans were not happy as Pallavi is not using her brains, and end up missing Raghav award function.

After that, makers change track, Pallavi got her brains back, her smartness return.

The past 2 episode, again her brain has gone, firstly she did not recognize her husband, and today she froze, its understandable the incident shook her, but this is ITV, we like our MHRW cause the female lead are strong, not timid.

We are not looking at the logic, we just want to see an intense love story, with passion, loving each other to the core. Hence we expected, infact still expecting Pallavi recognizes her husband (even though now there is a very slim chance) even though her actions shows otherwise, but still hoping the makers gives a some sort of explanation maybe.

Reposting from other thread, as a general message to everyone, not just topic maker:

One more thing: as a woman I find it unbelievable that some people expect a woman (or even a man) to behave in a certain way when someone tries to abuse them mentally, physically, emotionally, or sexually. Human beings are different and react differently in various situations. Not everyone instinctively fights back and not everyone runs away. Being paralyzed by fear is a real thing. Many people here drool over the leads chemistry in the first pallu wiping scene but she was paralyzed by fear then too. She didn't fight back or run away. He could have done anything horrible to her on that deserted road but because we knew he'd be the hero we weren't worried, but she didn't. It goes to show that many times people are more at risk from someone they know than from outsiders. Mandaar is an example.

Don't complain about getting fed up of mahaan or superhero FL or MLs in EK or other shows if you are going to expect the same nature in our leads too. These two don't have all the answers and in times of stress people make mistakes or get confused about how to respond. So tired of the constant bashing of Pallavi or Raghav or both. Or even the CVS for that matter.

And for those who think what Mandaar did today was only about crossing limits/lust/sexual abuse, you really need to go and watch the scene properly to understand what was going on at a whole other level.

To Pallavi fans, I know you are upset about the victim shaming that's going on in general here. It happens in real life and it's happening here too, which is such a shame. I wish the same amount of energy would be spent on bashing the real culprits Mandaar, Sanki, Ved, and Sunny.

To everyone in general:

I wasn't on the forum in the early days but when Anjali drugged and abused Raghav, did people here victim shame him too instead of raging at her? Technically she deserves to be in jail just like Mandaar does.

And why is no one bashing Jaya for what she did and said today to Keerti? You don't see that as problematic?

I am sure if not CV has to make to make a point of what length Mandar can go to Raghavi she would have reacted, she was processing...

It was to be shown to Raghav how biggest a creep can be Mandar and he needs to gather his wits and stop playing silly games..

It was to show to Pallavi to be careful around him, to what extent Mandar can go to harass her...

Coming here all I see is bashing pall even for this,

Cut her some slack pls, try to be more neutral in your views..

Remove that hatred glasses for her and see, it's not that difficult..

I decided to not come in MF and involve in anything going on, coz I don't have time and energy to simply argue with ppl who are not ready to listen..

But this thing got me highly upset..

And the worse part is that due to pallavi's characterization , people are attacking Shivangi . The other day i saw a comment on the bts pic post of Veena - it said that replace the lead actress because she doesnt know how to act , specially in romantic scenes and the heavy breathing wasnt there which is a cliche thing if serials are concerned . Really yaar aisa karke show ko hi show ko duba denge.

Poor girl going through so much mental harassment and on top of that she is scared about her safety. I don't know why people can see this but are busy in making their on theories to victim blame her😭

We can't compare how she responded to SNS and how she did to Mandy.

Cvs are showing difference between how we treat insider vs outsider. SNS is outsider for Pallavi so it's easy for her to object him and family will trust her over SNS.

On the other hand Mandy is an insider. No one will believe her without proof because D family will trust Mandy over Pallavi.

In real life scenarios too its easy to fight strangers than predators from your own family.

That's why majority of sexual assaults against women are by close relatives family members in whole world. Its hard to raise your voice against your own family what them commit those horrible crimes

However people aren't understanding this but indulging in victim blaming. Which is very offputting. That's why so many women keep quiet about these kind if crimes in RL.

this was all the scene about but people lapped on the chance to victim shaming and bashing pallavi for no faults of her.

I agree that scene got overboard , it was extremely uncomfortable to watch and it could have been easily avoidable in the script but I would like to believe that it was added to make R and particularly P realise that mandar could stoop to such low level and they should realise the imminent danger in front of them.

After this only , both will start investigation seriously as R will put microphones and P will check out his call history
