Even if they wanted to show RR as hero they could have showed pallavi trying to put some sort of fight ( Not in physical sense ) lile lets wait to get married etc.

Also the scene could have been lot less graphic like you could have showed the same hero saving the damsel in distress by showing mandaar was trying to forcefully hold her hand . Itna detailed disgusting scene ki kya need thi just like that massage scene.
