Also finally got a chance to re-watch/re-listen. Two things:

1) I only just noticed that Payal and Yasser aren't in the video this time around 😲 probably because that cop took all their screentime 🤣 (also was that cop the same actor who played one of the chor team in BP?)

2) While I still overall prefer BP the song, I think I *might* just prefer the lyrics of BI a tad better...not sure, need another few listens, but some of the lyrics are so deep this time around.

Also the vibe and cinematography and aesthetic and location this time around makes it feel like this could have been a song from some made-for-Netflix small-town movie...which now I want 😒😆

As for the whole views thing (ShaHina aside bc honestly that's some kind of jaadu tona 😲🤪), the thing about BP is that there was a lot of hype beforehand. We knew it was happening, there were a bajillion articles during the shooting itself, and on the day these two were out promoting it to high heavens. So even randos and casual viewers knew it was happening.

This time, IDK what they were thinking re: promotional strategies 🤔 bc if PC hadn't shared that one BTS, none of us would have even known it was happening. And this is those of us die-hards who follow this stuff on socials. Casual viewers don't stand a chance. So no wonder the word got out there slower than the first time. Plus all the other stuff too 😊

And I wonder how much of the "IG Live, upcoming reels and interviews" etc. was planned from the start and how much was a reaction to the realisation today that fans needed that inspiration...

As much as I love these two for that live today, and it's gone a long way to making up for things, kuch gile-shikve abhi bhi hai yaar 😒 but koi na. Maybe they wanted to cut out the toxicity and noise for their own mental health, which honestly I can't really fault them for.

agreed part of me thinks did VYRL want to use the drama like keep us in suspense about how they are with each other. I don’t know if they did but it was the worst marketing plan ever. It backfired clearly and now I feel it’s more of damage control and giving us what they were holding back.
