This show will definitely go on to be in the list of masterpiece dramas - I was craving for an excellent drama in terms of depth and masterclass acting, direction and storytelling, since I had a major Raqeeb se hangover, and HKKST is in that league..I am so so happy

Coming back to the episode, Mehreen and Salyah baaji's bonding was simply heartwarming. She was so herself with her Khala..I am so glad that she has Salyah Baaji in her life, to share her deep thoughts and sufferings with. Their bond is so precious❤️ Even Salyah baaji's clarity of thoughts is amazing, she shared her pearls of wisdom with Mehreen, gives her the right guidance and requisite support. LOVELY! Also I love how Mehreen tries to liberate herself by dabbling in various forms of art - it is food for her otherwise tormented and disturbed soul. Beautiful weaving of characterization👍🏼

Mashal is sick in the head. But I still feel to a certain extent, her mother triggers her. Constant nonsensical comparisons between Mehreen and her..and once Mehreen exceeds in any field..there is constant chatter about and around her and this need to match Mashal up with her. Ofcourse, I agree that it does not absolve Mashal of her own disgusting reactions to the said comparisons. I got goosebumps when she was aping Mehreen's painting competition winning speech..it was so so eerie for some reason and ofcourse the horrible shots of her killing the bird and her hysterical celebration on throwing the inhaler. Thing is Mashal knows that she can present herself well in terms of exterior interface is concerned..but she lacks the natural talents of Mehreen..so that frustration keeps building up and she just tries to destroy Mehreen in whatever she can to punish Mehreen for being more talented than her.🤢

Mehreen - LOVE you deserve better than that loser Aswad. I am SO glad she gave him back on the phone. Mahira performed phenomenally well in the scene where after the call with Aswad, she is trying very hard to control her tears - it was so heartbreaking and pitch perfect. Man it was moving.

I think Kubra is also doing very well, considering we all want to strangle her with our bare hands too😆 Every actor is awesome in this show! I love the senior actress playing Salya baaji - so much therav in her performance.

Aswad - 😳 He and Mashal are such gossip mongers. Its idiotic that he cant see through Mashal. How much ever distorted picture is being presented to him..doesnt it ring a bell that Mashal is simply obsessed with Mehreen - considering how she is constantly clicking her pictures and sending it to Aswad?? WIERD! i really wont care even if Aswad becomes the good guy in the end..I dont like him AT ALL. Because Mehreen will pay a very big price for Aswad's change of heart!

Honestly can they please change the end to show Safi with Mehreen = I dig Haroon-Mahira's pairing in this show - and probably just because Safi is far better companion to have as well.

Lastly the BG score is simply fab - dig that piece where Mashal is reading Mehreen's diary = that was an intense BG score - reflecting Mashal's deep jealousy and hatred.

Yashal's voice complements both Mahira and Kubra - hence the OST feels even more impactful when it is played in their scene - because it has the same texture as the lead actresses' voice as well - like their soul is singing this song - BEAUTIFUL SHOW sofar

Im kinda on the fence about how they have shown Mashal's real face from the beginning. It basically simplifies the story so much and makes it just another cousin rivalry thing, though with more depth and stellar acting. Can you guys imagine how ppl who havent read the novel would have felt if the truth came out much later... There would have been uproars and so much buzz.

Mehreen's line to her khala about dying early..Ooo that was shiver inducing. I feel the need of another saging session and prayer circle for the writer changing that ending.... Buri nazar , thoo thoo.... 😂

everything else was on expected lines, but why did Salya Khala say that she wants Mashal for Aswad??

But glad that Mehreen atleast accepted Safi's proposal even if it is shortlivedw

I have not read the novel but is it possible they show that the aunt too gets misguided by mashal and thinks mehreen is having affairs?

Is it just me who didn’t like how Mehreen ek dum se bheegi billi ban gayi Aswad ke saamne in the kitchen? I am not asking her to be rude to him but what was that sudden coyness for? I was a tad disappointed that she gave him any bhaav at all. But they were looking so good together in the Kitchen scene. I think Aswad was already in love with Mehreen, and the first person to know about it will be Mashal.

Today’s episode was Aswad and more Aswad. Btw why did his parents name him Aswad, it means black.🤔

Anyho loved the scene when Mehreen does a Shahid Afridi kind of kissy jesture and signals mashal to get out.😆

Also loved the whole Shabo scene. And the Aswad Mehreen kitchen scene.

I didn’t like how Mehreen Asthma comes and go. During her asthma episode she had energy to have a show down with mashal and then puffing in the next scene with Haroon. It would have been better if she was shown wheezing while with mashal. Anyways it’s trivial. The rest was awesome
