Yeah, people are focusing so much on NM they're letting DP off the hook a bit here...she's not that great so far either 😊

To be fair, it's not all the actors' fault. They're only doing what they're told to, so all of this copy-and-paste stuff is on EK and the writers, not them. As some people have said in that thread, it's like EK has thrown them under the bus a bit with this...even if this show was a straightforward reboot or remake, a scene-by-scene copy would still be ridiculous. A "season 2" has no excuse.

That said, even the acting has no jaan in it...it's like they're just reading line off a page. No charm, no spark, none of that vivacity that Ram and Sakshi brought. I hope they do better in the show. Even if they'll never live up to the OGs (how could they?) they can at least leave their own mark in some way...

Definitely DP is getting away with it because of the heat on NM but that won’t last for long. And it will actually be good to see if their chemistry was down to their characters or the actors. That’s always there in the back of my mind and I think it will be answered noww.

agreed not the actors fault because it’s like the KZK reboot or 2.0 or whatever. There were some brilliant actors like Amna but komolika well the character was a let down by the time she joined. That’s the problem when you name the show and the characters the exact names you are already putting a lot of pressure and somebody needs to live up to that pressure. And to be honest I can’t think of one person that has. It’s equally the same as IB having a remake and someone else playing Shivaay and Annika I don’t think IB could ever imagine that.

But there needs to be something where they make these characters their own like you said at the moment it’s all bland. There is no intrigue to watch it. Right now they both like b tech versions of the originals.

All that komo was hair flicking, screeching bimbo. Even her outfits weren’t great. And that nose ring. God don’t even get me started.

You know what I don’t think Ekta will ever touch KGGK or KSBKBT - they’re too special for her. And like she said nobody has matched ST or SI’s acting calibre. And with comparisons inevitable it would truly have to take someone special to catch her eye and do those roles. KZK was close to her heart and we all saw how that panned out 🤷🏻‍♀️
