It's less of insecurity and more of self victimization that's on with Shiva. His problems are self created. If it was insecurity , suddenly one day it didn't find feet right? Suddenly when he started feeling love for raavi and he read her diary , and he assumed that he is not worthy of her, bec she was cheerful around her friends and they talk low of him? If in his own eyes he lost his worth , nobody can help him.
