And China is bigger and worst culprit than US could ever be.

Thank you! All those young men who lost lives fighting for someone else's freedom! With sentiment like the post you quoted, is it any wonder America doesn't want any more?

Actually, that is incorrect. There are papers upon papers available which show the Taliban was formed after U.S. left.

U.S invaded after 911 for bin Laden. They stayed for nation building.

The U.S. made situation worse? In that case, what are people talking about when they say women were getting educated etc over the last 20 years when the U.S. was there? And then the Afghans should be cheering in the streets for the U.S. leaving. On the contrary, I see the poor people asking for help.

The major problem now is that Biden and company were so thoroughly incompetent that they actually withdrew troops before destroying the equipment as was originally planned. He is now trying to escape blame by saying Trump negotiated it. Then why scuttle Trump's plans for civilian evacuation, followed by destruction of all equient before troops left? That way, the Afghan army wouldn't have been outmatched.

Unfortunately, I don't see help coming from America any time soon. People have gotten tired of getting blamed for everything going wrong in the world WHILE spending blood and money to defend someone else. Not saying I agree, but that is the general sentiment here now.

How many people got killed in Afghanistan again and how many American taxpayers money got wasted to get to this point while it took Taliban only 9 days to reverse everything? A lot of the women who got to school won’t be able to even finish education now . Of course Afghans would try to ask for help when they don’t have any options especially with Taliban back in power .

@bold America can’t even help its own people right now. Americans have gotten tired of endless money spent by America on wars while America is struggling and the military got tired of fighting an endless war they had no chance of winning .

That Taliban reversed it after the U.S. was gone means it was a colossal waste of effort on the part of America. How does it mean America created Taliban or made the situation worse? It was the same 20 years ago. I happen to be old enough to remember it.

The 20 years intervening when the AMERICANS were around was when those girls were able to get an education and walk freely.

That they didn't complete the job doesn't mean they made things worse. Somebody made money off it. The 2 trillion of tax are that were spent on Afghanistan went to some military contractors and some of the corrupt politicians in the region. None of it means America created the situation. Yeah, they didn't improve it. And yeah, the withdrawal was an exercise in incompetence.

People dying or being traumatised (from both sides ) by the 20 years war isn’t worse enough for you ? Also the people who are going to get targeted for helping the US now that US soldiers have left ?

That’s true. 90% Americans do not know why Natives are called Indians and then there’s a country called India whose citizens are called Indians too.

So far I haven’t met a single American who was able to answer this question. 😆

More then US talks, I think the real issue is corrupt govt , local support for taliban in the past 20 years mainly coz the govt failed. US should have left earlier and even if they had left earlier, I feel taliban would have still come to power like back in 1994 thats the only difference I see or if a new leader had emerged he would have been assassinated like many other previous leaders who tried to make Afghanistan a progressive country. Taliban wants their own version of Islamic govt at any cost whether US is present there or not
