Now i am also as confused as you whether to extend my symphathy towards you in specific being a mber of this forumn coz you are yourself confused about intentions of taliban ? It seems to me that you are low key supporting them here through this post. It seems to me that You want people here to know the good side and good intentions of talibans. You are reporting to us first hand account from your friends and own family members supporting taliban ideology saying only good stuff about them. I find their views and your further relaying their messege here problematic.. I mean how can one have slightest of doubt about such terrible org in the first place? You also dont seem as upset with taliban/ pakistan and the ideology with which they are taking over your country as you should be and refraining yourself from taking it all out or even criticizing them enough. I guess after you have gained enough sympathy from members, you might wanna analyse why things are so bad and who actually is responsible then you might call them out bluntly as an angry afghan?

@bolded part 2

I cant actually believe you are actually blaming the entire world and want them to leave afghanistan alone ...with taliban at the helm of affairs during a humongous humaniterian crisis. I mean you seriously wished for that?

What are you even saying? Have you read any of my other posts throughout this thread? I am firsthand telling everyone here the news that is being shared to me by people living in Afghanistan. You know shit all about Afghanistan. I’m only reporting exactly what’s being said in interviews. It’s not like I’m sharing extra secret information. Being an Afghan, I’m naturally involved within the community on social media, so I’m only sharing what everyone else is talking about.

I have specifically mentioned that these false promises made by Taliban is only intended to manipulate the crowd into believing they are safe. This is with the intention to have international pressure eased. Once Taliban comes into power, they’ll show their true faces. Every politician makes false promises before an election. This is exactly what the Taliban are trying to do.

How can you have comprehension issues? My family fled from Afghanistan because of the Taliban. My cousins were murdered because of the Taliban. My cousin committed suicide because of the Taliban. I’ve mentioned this in my posts here and yet you’ve overlooked everything, made a new MID account just today to accuse me of something that’s so far fetched and beyond the human imagination.

Are you fucking kidding me? So I haven’t criticised them enough in your opinion and that makes me a supporter? I’m trying to keep this thread civil so it doesn’t close. This thread is to show support for Afghanistan, not for me to turn it into another online war zone.

You clearly have a personal issue with me. There is no way anyone can be so daft. You making an MID account just to accuse me of such filth is proof enough. Nice try. Next time come with your real ID and don’t hide behind a fake account.

To the I-F folks, please know that your comments and prayers are enough. Please don't let this thread close. It is bringing me comfort to know that there are people who care.

I was talking to a colleague whose wife fled a country going thru civil war. He was telling me that my wife tells me every time she sees these type of news that Americans have no idea how lucky they are. I guess it goes for every country with democracy. We take our freedom for granted.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Prayers with every Afghan family that just wants to survive.

Anyone following Afghan news for months would have known Taliban taking over was inevitable.. what surprising is how easily and quickly it happened in the last 2 weeks.

I'm confused about Ghani.. some say he genuinely cared for Afghans and some say he played gullible people and fled looting them.

What raise questions against Ghani is that what was not done in so many years, Taliban suddenly became so strong and done it within weeks.

It might have gotten support from China and Russia. Considering Taliban leader Baradar visited both countries recently.

The fact that it was so easily taken tells me that it’s been planned. Ghani fled the country and so did high-ranked military figures. The military has easily surrendered. The civilians have been left to deal with the worst of it.

Right now, Ghani is garnering a lot of hate. I haven’t much knowledge on the public opinion of him in Afghanistan, but Afghans living overseas are cursing him, calling him a coward. I can’t ever sympathise with a leader who abandons his own countrymen and runs away. He issued a statement today on social media. I’ll copy and paste it here.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Dear countrymen!

Today, I came across a hard choice; I should stand to face the armed Taliban who wanted to enter the palace or leave the dear country that I dedicated my life to protecting and protecting the past twenty years. If there were still countless countrymen martyred and they would face the destruction and destruction of Kabul city, the result would have been a big human disaster in this six million city. The Taliban have made it to remove me, they are here to attack all Kabul and the people of Kabul. In order to avoid the bleeding flood, I thought it was best to get out.

Taliban have won the judgement of sword and guns and now they are responsible for protecting the countrymen's honor, wealth and self-esteem. Didn't they win the legitimacy of hearts. Never in history has dry power given legitimacy to anyone and won't give it to them. They are now facing a new historical test; either they will protect the name and honor of Afghanistan or they will prioritize other places and networks. Many people and many Aqshar are in fear and are unreliable in the future. It is necessary for Taliban to assure all the people, nations, different sectors, sisters and women of Afghanistan to win the legitimacy and the hearts of the people. Make a clear plan to do and share it with the public. I will always continue to serve my nation with an intellectual moment and a plan to develop. Lots more talk for the future

Long live Afghanistan

The limited knowledge I have of Afghanistan and Ghani.. I thought he genuinely cared about Afghans and back of my mind I had exactly thought of the same reasoning for what he has given in this statement. He left to stop further bloodshed. Surrender was more Ideal choice but we all know the end result. he would have been badly mutilated. But I can't rule out opposite POV as well that he was a coward or corrupt political leader.
