This 100 votes/hour for 10 hours is such a tiring and boring exercise that only the obsessed and die-hard fan can fully participate in it. It is an exercise designed to tire out casual viewers and favour the contestant with the strongest mental hold on fans.

I remember they had something similar for Idol 10, though for fewer hours. Even though I was more committed to Idol 10 I found it difficult, especially when the traffic becomes heavy and it takes more time to register a vote.People with connection speed issues will wait for a long time between votes.

I wish they had increments of 10 instead of single digit. That would make things easier if you really wanted to vote your full quota.

But Sony possibly makes a lot of money by torturing fans. And Sony loves it!

I am glad that I am relaxed about who wins. I still want my favourite to get some cash, but have low interest in who wins. Just wanted to see a couple of teenagers complete the entire journey. For me they are the future.

I can’t have the tv on for 12 hrs at Sony channel as I am the only one who watches. Plus duniya ka dusra kaam bhi karna hai. Especially the income generating ones. May only watch repeats on YT in segments.

The interview of 5 previous II CONTESTANTS was really not fair or viable. Things have changed in yrs have gone by. None of them had fan following as today as social media wasn’t there.

Though i do agree judges have to give constructive feedback for contestants to improve. Even the best of the best all have room to improve.

Amit sana’s judgement on SMP was laugh worthy. All are classically trained & tried all type of songs can be versatile. I do not disagree with that. But making a blatant statement declaring SMP TO BE THE BEST classically trained is really uncalled for.

Shreesha i dont know much but Anjali may be the best at srgm, murkiyan but audiance couldn’t connect with her singing. Although i am classical music freak i could not connect. Nachiket is a different story. I liked that boy.

i watched the video with a pinch of salt as their comments are not relatable to today’s situation.
i personally DO NOT like sob stories, emotional atyachar. Leave that all out. Just sing in sur, taal that is all i cate for.
even abhijeet sawant had some sob story attached to him. How did he forget that? Yes Ravinder ravi the painter had story attached which they brought it up.

I feel some are sour grapes. Girls are jealous of girls. Im not saying Aditi or Prajakta are but mostly female singers are insecure with new ones coming up.

some judges sitting on judges panel are not qualified to give feedback when they have no knowledge of music or the contestants are better singers than them. I can give u examples.

Im not writing this for debate. Im presenting my thoughts. These 6 kids are all good. Lets wait & see who gets the trophy. 🙏

I had been really trying to not respond to your posts against SMP. Amit did not say she was most classically trained. He said she was the most trained singer. If you see any interviews of the musicians of the show, they also say the same thing. She has the most music knowledge. She is able to explain the notes to Sitar player in sargam and also able to explain the notes to guitar and piano players in the Western notations.

She had tried the most styles of music in Indian Idol itself.

If renowned musicians and music legends are appreciating her knowledge, I do not like this constant bashing of her in all the posts.

After watching the promos, I am getting a not so happy feeling that the Finale will be a big mis mash, with a major time being taken away by past contestants and professional singers.

I would have preferred a lot of theme based rounds of songs of our dear contestants as they are the ones who matter.

But am feeling that others would try to steal the limelight by gatecrashing into performances.

We are watching this show for :

SMPs energetic performances,

Sayli's harkat filled songs,

Arunita's soulful renditions,

Danish's devotional singing

Nihal's fun filled performances

Pawandeep's soft songs

The show gets it TRPs from our beloved contestants and it MUST be their moment under the sun, and if it digresses from this, am sure going to switch off the programme.

I have not watched her previous shows. Just Indian Idol and I'm impressed by what I saw so far.

When you say Amit Sana praising SMP is laughable, it is putting down her.

Even in this response again, I see you taking only part of the statement.

I mentioned that the musicians are saying that she can explain in both Indian and western notations. She had enough knowledge in both to be able to experiment with both of them.

I wonder why people think that guests are appreciating SMP for some ulterior motives while for all other contestants it is for the right reasons.

If they are just appreciating her for namesake, their praise wouldn't have been so profuse.. you can easily see the difference in the way they praise her and that comes from real admiration and no so much for few of the others.

Exactly what I'm saying. If you say SMP is praised for other purposes but others are praised for the right reasons then it is silly.

I too have a brain, intellect and music training. So I have my opinions and I do not laugh at others opinions.
