An Indian naming his kid Kasab, or an Israeli naming his kid Hitler or an American naming his kid Laden (post-9/11) is similar to Saif naming his son Taimur. No one is objecting him naming his other kids Sara and Ibrahim, both Muslim names despite having a Hindu mom. There also has the problem with patriarchy but people don't actually care much about patriarchy.

I think Ifrit is the name of a demon not Ifraat. Different pronunciations and meanings. Not sure so you might want to look into it. Otherwise just name your daughter Ifra then lol. Ibreez I think is a female name. Dunno if it's unisex but it means pure gold. Maybe you can spell it Ibriz?

Noah and Mikael are beautiful names. Lol your future sons are lucky indeed. Angad is okay but Akaash is really nice!

Having a long distance relationship with celebrities who don’t know you exist make conception a bit difficult. Times are tough. I don’t recommend this life to anyone. 😞

My dad and brother both have names that have been the names of terrorists. No one has ever cared or even pointed it out. No issues while crossing the border and travelling in the States either. No employer has looked at my brother's name and rejected him based on that.

Those days, partition had just happened, so it was considered wise to de-Islamicize names in order to have a wider appeal.

Pre-partition, the likes of Noor Jahan and Suraiya (with very Muslim sounding names) were the biggest stars, they then transitioned over to Pakistani cinema after 1947.

India has a tense political situation many times but it's a mixture of cultures and religions. people here criticizing India's intolerance should take a look at their country's track records. not to pardon intolerance in India but people only highlight India and forever forget others, case in point the Pakistan China ka milan , sab pakistani politician badi jaldi bhool jaate hain Chinese muslim concentration camps.

He says his kids don’t identify with any particular religion and write ‘Indian’ in their forms wherever religion is mentioned..

Anyways Saif is a half Muslim too. Tagore and Khan, all his siblings have a Muslim name only.

India is very patriarchal and the father's religion and customs usually dominate in everything. Even with Hrithik and Sussanne, I've always found it weird and even mentioned it here that they keep releasing pictures and videos of the family following Hindu customs but nothing related to Islam even though their mother is Muslim.

Why should this kind of patriarchy be applauded? It's good that the father's customs don't dominate everything in SRK/Gauri's family.
