Chapter 68.Talab is up.

Nishit is not wrong in asking the questions about why she is there. Last time they met, she said some harsh words to him.

He has gone and admitted that he obsessed with her for 17 years. A long time to be in the shadows always helping her out and she not realizing it even.

Chapter 68, it broke my heart, I felt her despair, the confusion in her mind.

I, for one don't blame her for not reading the signs so to speak. She never had the luxury to read anything into it. Firstly, they were far too young to really know what they were feeling. Later, situations and more than that, folk muddied the waters between them. We should also not forget that she considered herself in love with Tejas for the longest time. It was only when this particular guy became a regular fixture again, that those unknown, unacknowledged emotions took wing again. Tejas, who she considered a dear friend, someone who always had her back without knowing that he always had his selfish needs behind everything that he did. I don't blame her for not giving credence to what her heart may have whispered, what she may have wished for, sweeping those thoughts away the moment they came up. He offered his hand, his support, but she went with what was known, comfortable, safe. Plus I think she wanted him away from the mess that her life is. She didn't wish it on him. Their worlds are too far apart for them to have fought their way through.

Prasanna, is she thick, dense? Not a nice thing to say, but I just don't get her. I feel she is like Tejas, only thinking about what she wants, needs. Not seeing things, or ignoring things.

GN, I assume this is the end of another leg of the journey. I'm so looking forward to the next stretch! There were a few portions I absolutely loved:

"In the shower as the water traced untrodden, forbidden paths; her mind tried to conjure the dream.........She didn't even remember how his face looked."

"Sentences superimposing each other, sometimes knocking out each other."

Talab

Even in my wildest imagination I did not think a chapter named "Talab" would end in such heartbreak. You clean bowled me, GN! Good thing I am not making aaloo curry, else it would have turned out just like Kirti's. So the one time she got her curry wrong, everyone focused on that, ignoring all the other times when they had licked their fingers off. But Kirti did mess it big time on this occasion. Added a little too spice, salt and water. They had no option other than push the plate away. I feel sorry for her (and myself), but what else did she expect to happen eventually? They are not able to read her mind, her intentions and she is not able to read theirs.

So Nishit is engaged, eh? Looks like he has moved on. Or trying to. Or trying to convince himself he is truly "over her". But I guess 17 years of obsession & madness would not be so easy to overcome. Kirti has convinced him that she is in love with Mayank and doesn't want Nishit's interference in her life. Why should he put his life on hold for nothing? He is doing his best to hurt and avoid Kirti, but how long will he be able to hold the fort. Aahana is being a collateral damage in this too. But I feel for Nishit. He is desperate to move on and probably jumped at the first opportunity that proved he has successfully done so.

Did Kirti wonder what happened to Mithila? If she was so sure that Mithila is Nishit's gf, she would be heartbroken too, no? BTW, why had Prasanna called? Only to give her the news that "Bhai is engaged?". Sometimes I feel Prasanna is trying to play cupid between the two, but other times she appears quite clueless about Nishit's feelings for Kirti.

Next chapter is "A maze of lies". My hunch is it will be one from the past.

This was sad. Very beautifully written . On being informed about his engagement Kirti 's vivid recollection of how Nishit had described to her how he would propose to a woman he would marry. 😏

She is stressed and anxious for his well being and , her dreams in the hospital are mixed with his teenager hospital stay and the current intimacy she craves with him. Realistic.

I had wished that Nishit to move on but he is behaving exactly like Kirti. At least her wrong decision was to please a very sick grandmother. His seems to be an escape..hoping that my getting married it will help him get over Kirti.

Did he feel that the attending doctor was showing too much interest when he answered for her...including snapping at the doc 😁

This has been a heart breaking and sad day for her. Hope she soon pauses to think what she is doing at the Ohjas house. If nothing Mayank's parents comment hopefully will make her hasten ti file for divorce

After reading Kirti's heartache, all I could think of are these lines from a famous song 😢 -

That was so heartbreaking.! The hospital scene itself gave shivers (no not because of the AC), but feeling Kirti's need of him. The dream, not just a dream, but whatever she wanted to happen, maybe somewhere in the corner of her heart.? His "obsession" words had made a house in her mind and heart, she so much wanted to have its actual meaning. Nishit's ignorance and behaviour, justified, but marrying someone just to move on.? Will it work for him as it is an "obsession" of 17 years.? Why I am feeling that Prasanna always calls her on Nishit's recommendation.? As in he wanted to convey something to Kirti through Prasanna.! Felt really bad for Kirti today, poor soul. Eagerly waiting for next chapter, A maze of lies, hoping for the best maze of the worst lies.

Oh my god. Its was sad but I guess Kirti needs this to fully acknowledge her feelings.

Boys dont understand. Girls need words. Proper words to let them know their true feelings. Girls like Kirti can't assume. Maybe he never gave her the words before because he was himself wary of her reactions.

But the words that he has given now, in place of the ones he should have long back, are enough to haunt her for long.

This was a sad sad chapter. I feel bad for kirti. In the past I was angry with her decisions but this girl comes through. Man, Nishits decision to move on is okay, but to get engaged- too soon.
why did Prasaanna call her all of a sudden? Just to convey the message and share her feelings??
kirthi obsessing over what Nishit had disclosed, trying to dissect the meaning of what he said, the dilemma- it’s relatable.
the dream though- it’s filled with desire and bits of reality perhaps.
by the way, what does the word Talab mean??
