In this easy going camaraderie we have ignited the kind of friendship that will be part of our onward lives, for in the calmness we share the pilot light will remain bright and strong. 
Friendship feels as the wind or the water that flows between open fingers in a summer stream, yet when the wintry winds blow it is the woolens and the hearth, and in dangerous times it becomes both sword and shield. For friendship is a kind of love and love is an emotion for real and casual humans like us. 
Chatting with your close friend was a sort of verbal dance, one beautifully chaotic, one that makes you laugh out loud to feel your heart switching on! It was banter, I guess, but I lived for it, looked forward to it, and would have spent any amount of time in friends' company that I could have.
We are funny together with our friends, not so much with others...we just brought that sense of playfulness out of one another!
