The Birthday

Riddhima took a last glance at her look.

A gorgeous white lehenga, delicate golden roses embroidered on it all over. A beautiful sleeveless glittery blouse of the same colour, and a white net dupatta.

Hair open, minimal makeup, and tiny studs adorning her ears, she looked perfect..

A smile crept on her lips excited to see Dadi's reaction. After, she had specially bought this for her to wear on her birthday.

"Everything's ready, Angre?"

Vansh asked, fixing the collar of his stunning black suit. Dadi's birthday was something that the siblings celebrated in a magnificent way every year. This time, with Riddhima's presence, it was even better!

"All done, Boss!" He replied.

"The what?!" Ishani looked utterly shocked. Aryan chuckled. He knew this long ago.

"Damn, Riddhima, this is gonna be the best gift ever!" She said, wondering how would she react.

Vansh's breathe stuck for a second seeing Riddhima descending down the stairs, with Dadi.

She looked...like- like an angel. The white lehenga looked so beautiful on her! A soft blush covered his ears when she gave him a gentle smile.

The lights were all out, when a few orange light lightening the hall.

Vansh chuckled as he watched his siblings hop in altogether, wishing her. They're still kids! He wondered where Siya was.

"Happy Birthday, dadi.."

He said, touching her feet and instantly felt her pulled him into a hug.

The celebrations were going on full swing. Suddenly a pair of hands hugged Dadi from behind, wishing her.

Her motherly hands instantly recognize who it was.

"Siya..meri bacchi.." she felt into a loud sob when she came front. In a pretty pista anarkali, there Siya stood in front of her, smiling.

Vansh stood shocked...Tears pooled in his eyes, ready to roll down his cheeks. The sight he craved to see everyday again, was in front of him right now..

"It's all because of Riddhima, Dadi..Her care and encouragement made me bring back the strong will to stand again.." she said, feeling her old hands cup her face.

"I know, my child.." Dadi cried, hugging Siya tight. She had almost lost the hope to see her grandchild standing on her feet again.

Vansh's eyes were constantly looking for Riddhima. He wanted to hug her tight, and thank her to give him his little sister back. But..where is she?

Panick engulfed him when a thought came into his mind.

He rushed out of the Mansion through the darkness. The lawn was empty.. but the gate was open.

"No." was the only word that he spoke before falling down on his knees, screaming out her name.

It wasn't a painful scream, but rather, a dangerous one.
