This post is beautiful Piu ❤️

The song Thoda hai just adds to the magic.

I loved the buildup to the episode. Gautam slowly cornered from all quarters, and finally burstyout with the Janardhan incident. I memtioned it in the EDT. Each of the interactions with Hardik, Maami and Janardhan, had they occured at different times and individually, he would have been able to handle it coolh and calmly, taking things into perspective like he normally does. But the sequence of events forced him to loose his bearings. Kinshuk was a delight to watch 😊 I was always worried he was being under utilized- but wow, this track has him delivering some complex emotions.

The scene of Dhara pacifying Gautam was so simple yet so powerful. I was so moved by Dhara's support. Sh did not say anything spectacular but somehow I felt elated at the end of it. It was like somehow the world had righted itself.

And the shot with the brothers looking down from the corridor ❤️ In that moment I realized why the characters of Dev and Shiva are so crazy about Dhara. How many other times have they seen Gaumbi burndened with troubles, and beating himself up. And how many times might they have seen Dhara swooping in and taking all his troubles away, as if it were nothing A lot of people are irritated with Shiva and Dev's "bhabhijaap". But if Dhara were my Bhabhi, I'd be awed too 😊

Beautiful post and equally beautiful images. It is very rare in ITV we get to see men like Gautam, soft yet strong in the right way. That scene between GauRa, the way they treat each other brings peace and a smile on your face ❤️

Momzii❤️

This post is pure magic. Loved reading this so much❤️

To begin with, the siggy is so beautiful

Pandya Store has had many high points and like you have pointed out the LGBTQ issue, Shiva's cross dressing were handled so sensibly and neatly without demeaning any of the communities. I wish we had got the same sensible writing in the current Dhara's pregnancy track. It has become a full mockery now.

This Gaura scene was one the best ones I have seen till date. It was so subtle and meaningful. The buildup that was given before Gaumbi's outburst was perfect. Gaumbi has been one of the most calm, composed and sensible persons. He is refreshing change to watch amongst these angry bird MLs waiting to erupt like a volcano. Gaumbi's tension started from the reception fiasco. Somewhere I felt Motiben's words affected him. Hardik challenge and finally Jaanu's most hurtful words questioning his masculinity Those were the final blows and gave away for Gaumbi's outburst. Kinshuk was fabulous in the last few episodes. I could literally feel his pain, frustration, desperation and his helplessness that he cannot do anything.

Dhara has been his support and anchor throughout his life. I remember their pre-marriage days too when Gaumbi had this comfort to share everything to Dhara. It was Dhara who calls Anita for the terrace date. Gaumbi has always had a best friend in Dhara. Their wedding just made them soul mates. She came into his life when he had nothing, stood by him, faced the world boldly and became his strength and partner for eternity. This is the magic of Gaura

Another beautiful thing about them is their two way communication. These two do not hide anything from each other. Their transparency makes their relation all the more pure and beautiful. Gaumbi who was so much shattered after his outburst calmed down just by hearing those soothing words from Dhara. This scene had the essence and magic of Gaura. It filled my heart with warmth. I would love to see more of such meaningful scenes❤️

Momzii...thank you for this amazing post....I loved reading this...The caps, quotes and your words were magical like always❤️

Such a beautiful post😍😍

You are absolutely right, PS is very unique in this way! And its absolutely heartwarming, to say the least❤️

I've always felt this, and yesterday was just another example. Gautam has been successful in taking care of his family because he had Dhara along.

If he had gotten married to someone like, say Anita, there's no way he could have fulfilled his responsibilities so efficiently like he has up till now. A person like Anita would have broken him. Like we often see Rishita complaining that she doesn't get new bed or stuff like that (not trying to nitpick her faults or anything), if Gautam had a life partner like that, he would have lost against the challenges of life long ago.

Pre-leap I remember, he had started losing courage. He considered himself a complete failure. It was Dhara, who kept reassuring him that he can do this and he'll be successful and bad times shall pass.

In this scene, it was the same situation. Gaumbi was crest fallen. How easy it would have been for Dhara to complain as well that she doesn't have her own room? But does she do that? No.

She tells him that since when do we get worried about small things like room.

Gautam would never be where he is today without Dhara, a fact that Gautam himself also realizes and is grateful for.

They are truly made for each other!🥰🥰

This one made it to my list of favorite GauRa scenes ❤️ There was tenderness, warmth, support, honesty, grief, comfort, love, affection, togetherness, and so much more. Thank you for this post and for capturing all the wonderful moments!

This scene reminded me of the initial days of Pandya Store and I simply loved the simplicity and beauty ❤️ The entire scene touched my heart and both Kinshuk & Shiny proved once again that they are also strong pillars of this show! GauRa had my heart and some tears as well!

Esha 🤗Very true! This scene did remind me of the good old days of Pandya store where the story simplicity had touched my heart. The non-toxic couple of Gautam and Dhara had piqued my curiosity and ever since I was hooked to the show. This scene was charismatic, melancholic yet had a sense of care and comfort.

I love Gaumbi for being so vulnerable, honest & a man of character! He is sensitive and doesn’t use toxicity to hide his insecurities. Very rare of find on ITV!! I’m so glad that characters like him are appearing on ITV. Another similar ML I am slowly loving is Raghav from LGA on Star Bharat. I love that these two aren’t afraid to show their fears and don’t conform to the typical standards of masculinity. Gaumbi is truly special!

My heart went out to the man who is so loving and attentive! To his wife, family, SIL’s and everyone else around him! Society loves to exploit and put down such men because they are afraid. Afraid of their honesty and their ability to cause in a shift in the balance set up by age old standards. Often times people overlook or forget to mention the injustice and suffering of some wonderful human beings, simply because of their gender (further flaming gender stereotypes). So glad PS brings up these points in a very subtle but impactful way.

Nowadays, I feel so let down! But some of the scenes of India’s tour are indeed gold. This definitely goes down into my favourite list as well. The slow shift in the society towards softness in a male lead it’s so heartwarming to watch. The gender roles in the society are so stark, but in Pandian store they have suddenly tried to increase the participation of a bigger conversation about gender roles and stereotypes.

The way Dhara and Gaumbi hold each other when the other is down wins me over each time! The way she touches his cheek and reassures him. We have seen both of them comfort each other! I would love to see much more of them! So glad to see them getting the screen space they deserve!

These two fill my heart with warmth ❤️ Thanks again Piu 🤗

Thank You so much for your wonderful words of appreciation and thoughts that are as lucid as the show itself. Gautam and Dhara are indeed couple goals.

I loved that scene.

It showed their essence. They are the calm but deep lake, waveless but still strong enough to pull you in. I love how she leans back on him in the face of her troubles and mistakes so he could sort them out for her. And I love how he accepts her care and encouragement when he comes home defeated and beaten down.

The life may push him down, the world may taunt him, his own best friend may not even understand him, but Gaumbi will always have Dhara to lean back on just like she has him.

On an icy night full of hail, Gaura for each other are shelters, that shield the other without fail. They are the fire that is used for warmth. They are also the clothes that the other wear, intimate and yet so normal.

Today’s episode stood out to me for Gaura and their obvious love and care for each other.

Wow! Such beautiful, and the words to describe Gautam-Dhara are like molten gold-bright and illustrative!
I couldn’t have done more justice than what you said through your words already. This is beautifully portrayed! 🤗

This is one of the best scenes of Gaura. smiley27Today my heart cried for Gautam.smiley19 I actually had tears in my eyes when he said " Why did I allow you to take those medicines 10 years ago". smiley19He was clearly regretting the choices they made 10 years ago. He was so disheartened today. Gautam's helplessness & disappointment was very well depicted by Kinshuk. smiley20

Both Kinshuk and Shiny were fantastic today. smiley20smiley27

Dear silent member. I am glad that you started participating in the discussions more. Thank you so much for your kind Words of appreciation🤗

I think the helplessness of Gautham was perfectly portrayed by Kinshuk who had moist eyes, traumatised demeanour and helpless anger. This scene goes down into my favourite list forever.

Piu, what a lovely post!

Thank you so much, Prema 🤗Your post is so meaningful and detailed. I loved reading each bit of it.

PS has always been special for the way they have dealt certain issues as you said, acceptance of LGBTQ, cross dressing and today it was about men also being victims of taunts by the society be it for being childless or for unable to support their family and take care of their needs.

Exactly, they have been very progressive about a lot of issues and boldness of tracks.

Gautam's trials and tribulations started 10 years ago when his father died leaving behind a sick mother, 3 young brothers and a debt ridden business. He has been working non-stop ever since, Dhara joined him few days later and after many sacrifices, he still continues to work hard for the family and the business.

Gautam Really had no option but to grow up and step into his father’s shoes. He was barely 21, and he had to play the role of a father to his younger brothers, shoulderered the responsibility of running the entire household, and also take care of an ailing mother. Dhara what is the companion he needed the most at this point of time. She was always his well wisher and someone he could depend upon.

In this current situation, he has been so to be vulnerable, almost accepting defeat, expresses his fears and his self respect has been shaken, shown to bear the taunts of being childless and unable to provide or take care of some basic needs of his wife.

He looked very distraught and traumatized after everything around him had started to fall apart.

This is what I wrote about Gautam after the episode in the EDT

"In our Indian society we always see women taunted for being childless and men are not held responsible to fairly a large extent. But there are few times even men are subjected to taunts and that's what we got to see. It is difficult for ITV to touch upon this perspective. I am glad PS team had the courage to show it. All along we talked about Dhara's sacrifices, taunts and so on, I sympathize with her fully , but today we saw how Gautam was equally affected by all of it and more so the pressure/ stress of running a joint family. business and has been working non-stop for 10 years without any break, I am surprised he is not burned out yet. I really felt for Gautam today."

Finally when he got home and shared his grievances with Dhara, "tere ye Gaumbi na, zindagi se maat kaa raha hai" 😕 he regretted letting her take those pills for many years but she with assurance and support, lifted his spirits and that's the beautiful bond GauRa share.

Except for the dismal haveli track where I could not connect with Dhara, she has been on point, pillar of support for Gautam, through and through and he has reciprocated the same way.

I can totally relate to their relationship, bonding, support for each other very well and trials they are going through as a couple in these difficult times really touched my heart and I felt for them❤️

I just to want to end by saying that GauRa has my full support in this track.

P.S: I did not want the pregnancy track to start this early as they barely completed 6 months of the show (in the original the track started after 1.5-2 years into the show) but now that they have started, I would like the makers to show positive effect and not complicate it further.

The last part of your post is so poignant ❤️❤️

Couldn't have said it better!
